Joy and Happiness - Take Your Focus Off No Pain, No Gain Struggles and Choose to Live Joyfully

All humans have been brought up thinking that life involves suffering, hardships and pain, as this is the only way to learn and to achieve growth. The old age perception of 'No Pain - No Gain' is that we need to struggle to appreciate the values of life and we have to fight for something to be worthwhile. Life doesn't have to be hard and difficult or to have pain, struggle and suffering, as this illusion is the acting out process of the hypnotic belief system and overlays of mass consciousness. Of course, you can grow and learn if you belief that struggle, misfortune and pain is the motivator to end your adversity, but it doesn't have to be that way. Can you let go of limited and painful beliefs and myths that disempower you? Are you daring to look at the other side of the coin and step into a life that is filled with joy and happiness in all weather conditions?

To address your issues, problems and challenges can be broken down into 4 main categories.

1. Take Your Focus Off Material World

2. Place Your Attention on Your I Am

3. Joy is a Top Level Choice

4. Choosing Joy

Let's take a look at each individual category:

1. Take Your Focus Off Material World - Be willing to take your mental focus off the material world for that keeps you dwelling in the fears of the past and the illusionary drama games of lack. When you dwell upon what you haven't got you are stating just that. When you identify with the outer lack, it will control you and it will keep you in a state of lack, which will increase with use and your lack will only grow fatter and bigger.

2. Place Your Attention on the I Am - Put your focus on who you are; be clear about who you are - the "I am that I am", you are a creator - full stop! By placing your attention on the 'I am', you are getting out of the mind, because 'the mind doesn't know beyond what it knows' other than past fears and lacks and limitations. Are you ready to allow your dormant intuitive divine self to begin to integrate and experience life, not for you, but with you? However, before you can integrate your total self, you have to make one of the top level choices for you to achieve the bottom level choices - the human wants, needs and desires. How often have you said 'All I want is to be happy, healthy and abundant - damn it'!

3. Joy is a Top Level Choice - Why is joy a top level choice? Life cannot give you its gifts if you don't choose the joy of living. If you don't choose to see the gift within all of your experiences, you won't feel the joy and when you are sad you won't allow yourself to receive. When you are hurting you won't choose to live with love and health, because you belittle and feel unworthy, so it brings in the lack of joy, happiness and abundance into your life. Joy brings love, it brings happiness and it brings abundance on all levels, because you choose to live fully, beyond the 'just enough to survive' scenario. You can only live fully when you accept, love and honour yourself and when you accept others as they are then it comes down to 'accepting all things as they are', which brings in joy and happiness and the abundance that you asked for.

4. Choosing Joy - When you choose joy, you will see the gift and the blessing within all experiences. When you see the joy, the gift or blessing in an unpleasant experience, it is not about being in denial, selfish or lacking compassion, it is about honouring your experiences. When you discover the gift within the experience, it not only brings the wisdom, understanding, acceptance and compassion from breaking through stuck barriers and limitations of having these experiences, but it brings the joy and the 'wisdom of uncertainty' that inspires and expands your consciousness. Joy is the gift, the blessing that you have given yourself. Inner joy extends to happiness that can only be achieved when you see the joy in all.

Each moment of the day decide how you want to feel, what you want to do, and choose what potentials may happen, because you are responsible for what you do and how you see things. Therefore, you can choose the feelings that you want to experience, and if you are not feeling that, feel the energy and discern why. You are not responsible for what others say and do in your life, but you are responsible for what you take on board, the energies that you hold onto and how you perceive them. Be aware of taking on others burdens and if you feel energy that you don't want and that you haven't consciously chosen, just release it. Just because you feel sad or your feel someone's sorrow and pain, it doesn't mean it is yours and it doesn't meant that it is your truth - just let it go, accept that energy until it moves on and rechoose your new truth, via your conscious choice.

How to Live Consciously and Attract Happiness

Do you live each day consciously or unconsciously? We would all like to think that we are conscious during our waking hours; that we are consciously making decisions, consciously choosing how we act, react, speak, listen, and think. But do you know that in order to be conscious you must be aware of your Self? Do you know who you are? Are you living out who you truly are? Take a moment to think this over, and continue reading on...

Now that you've taken a moment to consider how your actions reflect your inner Self, did you come to the conclusion that how you live just may not be who you really are? You may become angry or frustrated from experiencing certain circumstances, but anger and frustration is not what is composed of your Self. All those molecules and compounds that make up your body, mind, and soul are certainly not angry or hostile ones. This you must realize. So why is it you express every emotion within the spectrum of human emotions? Do you choose to? Or is it a reaction?

If you stop before each thought and action to give yourself time to decide first, you begin to live consciously. If you do not let yourself decide, you defer to reaction: you go into autopilot mode and act or think in terms of your strongest emotion (anger, fear, sadness, etc.) since it is what has taken over. This is how you allow your ego (your mind) to take over and take control away from your real Self (your soul). This does you no good because this is what living unconsciously is. If you are not consciously making a decision, then you are unconsciously and mindlessly reacting. Your ego is not YOU. If you believe there is a difference between your physical body, your mental mind, and your spiritual soul, then you must take into consideration each of their downfalls and learn how to allow your soul to shine through with everything you do.

Do you notice how sometimes after a typical reaction, you may feel a little remorse? Perhaps it really wasn't very necessary to tell off that waitress who got your order wrong for the second time, or speaking rudely back to that customer service representative who was just trying to do his job.

Life can be hard; it can get frustrating no doubt about it, but it doesn't mean we need to project negativity right back at it. This does nothing for us.

How can we begin to live consciously? Here is the secret: right now, close your eyes and find the greatest feeling you have ever felt: such as the immense love you have for your child(ren), or that time when you were the most in love with a partner. Pinpoint that highest note of all your experiences. Feel that fulfilling joy and let it linger until your whole being is saturated with it. Hold onto this...

Love is the purest thought, emotion, and experience a soul can choose to live out. Yes, choose! We can choose to think, act, and live the rest of our lives with love being the core of it all; the seed that grows our human experiences; the cell that divides exponentially. We have this awesome Godly power because we are all God.

Now take this feeling that you have just re-experienced within your Self. Take it with you every morning when you get out of bed; take it with you to work or school; take it with you when you go out with your friends; take it home to your family; and take it to bed at night. This ultimate essence is what you will base all of your thoughts and actions on (notice I did not say reactions!). You will re-experience this each time you are confronted with a problem, a situation, a confrontation. Then, after some practice, you will call upon this beautiful part of you every time you think a thought, speak a word, and take an action. Love will be the root of everything you do. Your ultimate goal is to be who you really are, and who you really are, is love. Love is what creates us, the universe, and everything in between. We attract what we project out. So project out only love!

The funny part about this is that in order to know your Self (love), you must also know and have experienced love's complete opposite: fear. If love attracts like things, fear deflects the same way. So we know fear because we act on it. We make decisions based on fear. We fear our boss, we fear not having money, we fear rejection, and we fear physical pain and death. We know this because we end up reacting out of fear everyday for many of us.

So turn it around. Turn our fear into love. When we stop fearing, we end anger and frustration. We stop feeling like we need to take those negative feeling hostage, only to release them out onto others. We can begin to fill those empty places with much needed love. Fill your life with more of YOU by bringing consciousness into all you do. Love is all there for us to use. So take it. Take it and run with it.

It will not be easy. You have to practice and practice until it becomes second nature to you. It will require intention on your part, which requires energy. If you invest in this, the universe will invest in you.

Love before and after you think or do and your life will evolve. I promise.

Conscious Living - Create Your Plan For Happiness

To reach your desired destination in life, you need to follow a plan. You cannot make it to your final destination without first knowing your starting point. Just as you would not map out a route to New York City the same way if you start from Dallas, Texas as you would if you start from Los Angeles, California, you cannot manifest Your Very Excellent Life until you know exactly where you are now.

Most people have no idea where they are in life now. They pretend they are doing better than they really are - not just to impress others but to feel good about themselves. Problem is they usually over-estimate themselves then later run into trouble when they find themselves lacking across the board.

Who you are carries across every area of your life. If you act kind, generous, and in service at work, you also act kind, generous and in service at home, at your volunteer place, with your kids, with your friends, with your co-workers, etc. While you may think you act differently around different people and in certain circumstances, actually your actions flow in a very consistent manner.

To determine where you are NOW, write a list of the different areas of your life such as with family/friends, career, health, recreation, spirituality, finances. List every area you define as important to you. Your list may or may not duplicate my partial list.

After writing your categories, go back and write in details under each section. Be accurate (and I really do mean accurate because this list is yours to assist you) with your embellishments. Take your time! Perhaps, you can start today and come back to the list over the next week. Simply add items as you think of them.

When you feel finished with your list, let it rest a few days. Then go back and read it. Next, make a list of how you want your life to look in each area - if your world does not look like you want Your Very Excellent Life to look like.

Now, knowing your current jumping off point and your final destination point allows you to make plans to get from where you are to where you really, really, really want to be.

Your Degree of Happiness Depends on Your Degree of Conscious Living

The more you live consciously, with awareness of how the world really works, the happier you are. The path to happiness leads those who know they alone are responsible for how their lives look, to their desires.

Most people think that life happens to them. They look outside of themselves for someone or something to blame when they fail to live their dreams. They chalk their defeats up to circumstances, current events, their jobs, their spouses, their kids, the weather-you name it.

People without awareness live in a dream state, a trance, actually. It is most accurate to say they are asleep to the ways of the world. They see themselves as innocent victims with no control to change their predicament.

When sleeping people pray they plead, they bargain-they expect a supernatural force to do for them what they must do for themselves. Only they really believe they are pawns in the game of life. Hmm.

Most people define themselves by what they do. There is an old saying, "You aren't what you think you are. But what you think, you are." They live in the first part of that sentence. They either do not know about the second part or refuse to accept the possibility that it could be true.

People who live consciously take responsibility for how they create their world and everything that happens to them. They can even step back and see how their thoughts empower or disempower them.

When people understand how their thoughts become real they know what to do to change what they do not like in their world. Well, maybe they feel uncertain how to proceed but they certainly understand the only way to change is make that decision and go within to find the power to move forward.

Conscious living allows people to take charge of their life journey and make sure they reach their final destination of happiness and love. With awareness comes well being across one's life.

Does Living Consciously and Loving Consciously = Happiness?

Stop. Take a deep breath.

Use all your senses to really feel for a couple of seconds, to be completely aware of your surroundings, totally alert to Life in this very second.

Ahhhh. Okay.

Here we are, you, me, all of us together, close to 7 billion of us and counting, on a pretty damn extraordinary journey.

Life on planet earth.

All participating in this very same adventure-at this very same moment. Crazy when you stop to really think about it, no?

An infinity of circumstances, a kaleidoscope of destinies...

Yet all are made up of the very same stories and dramas. Our human repertoire of emotions lived and re-lived in a million different ways.

All of us equipped by nature with the same human tools. All of us with body, mind, and spirit. And yet, every single one of us living our own lives under different circumstances, even within the same family.

But no matter what our personal situation is, there is one thing we all have in common, well, actually two things.

Two things we all search for far and wide.

For thousands of years we have pursued "happiness" and "love" in all its forms and meanings. We have sought it everywhere, leaving no stone unturned; wars have been waged in the name of love, religions established to help us find happiness (in the next life, if not this one), philosophies have tried to explain the source and meaning of love and happiness.

How do we find real happiness, and how do we find true love?

These great questions continue to be our 'holy grail,' a driving personal goal, a deep inner desire...and somehow they also continue to be questions with not so easy an answer.

Or maybe, like my dad has been telling me since as far back as I can remember..."life is simple, very simple, just not always easy...and life is beautiful. You just have to learn how to live it."

Maybe the answer is in that you don't ever actually "find" loveand happiness. You make it.

Consciously creating our own Love & Happiness seems to be the most reasonable of answers.

The most direct and empowering. It puts the responsibility 100% on our own shoulders. You don't have to believe in any particular religion or adhere to any set of rules. You are the master of your own soul, of your own life, creator and producer of your own situations.

Now, I'm not going to dive into a deep philosophical debate on "destiny" or "fate", I'm not even going to mention "karma",('cept this once*)-that would make for a much longer chat.

So when I say we are the "creators of our own situations" I am speaking about the situations in which we have a choice to make. The events in our lives that are "out of our control" I'm going to classify as destiny, fate & karma (ok, twice mentioned**).

Conscious Living = Conscious Loving = Happiness.

Wikipedia defines 'consciousness' as: "a subjective experience, "awareness" as the ability to experience "feeling" wakefulness, the understanding of the concept "self" or the executive control system of the mind."

By definition then, Conscious Living would imply that we are aware, awake, and deeply feeling our lives; understanding ourselves fully and in command of our minds and emotions.

Conscious Loving would imply the same thing; expressing our love and receiving love from others in the most aware, awake and present possible manner.

So far so good.

It seems then, that our big life questions are answered from the inside out.

Maybe we've been doing this all wrong, all this questing and searching for something as if it were outside of us, as if it would hit us smack in the forehead someday. As if the universe would up and gift us a nicely wrapped bundle of love and happiness! All this looking... looking like chickens with our heads cut off!

Does living in a 'conscious' manner create happiness then? Does it bring Love?

I wish I could simply say "yes, for sure, absolutely!" Of course I can't, because I personally don't have the answers to the big questions in life. And I certainly can't answer such big questions for anybody else, just for myself. And only YOU can answer what can bring you love and happiness. Yes-the Guru is within you!

But there ARE certain road maps to help you get closer to the answer.

These road maps are as old as the questions themselves. In fact, they are much like what my dad always says, "very simple, just not always easy." So for the sake of simplicity I'm going to list the 3 most important concepts; the '3 Pillars of a Happy Life'.

The First Step: Know Thyself.

If we are the producers of our own personal life drama then surely the focus should be on 'internal questing.' Basing our outer lives on our inner experience, not the other way around.

Our life mission should consist of a continuous inquiry into who we are at the very core of our being. In order to know what makes us tick, what makes us feel, what makes us cry with joy and what brings meaning to our souls.

The more we know ourselves, the more in touch we are with the divine essence in ourselves, the more understanding and mastery we will have over our minds and emotions.

The more we know ourselves, the more we can make decisions which are in alignment with what makes us happy, with what makes us feel good inside, fulfilled, alive.

The Second Step: Feel deeply.

Feeling deeply is to feel alive, it is the river of human experience. It is being in the moment with your experience.

It is your birthright and the gift of this earthly experience to feel with all your senses. It is what makes you grow and what makes you truly present.

Feeling means being aware of your emotions and the physical sensations that are attached to these emotions. It means to allow yourself to explore the sensations of both body and soul.

The Third Step: Be True to Yourself.

Being true to oneself is an action of courage, a big step towards 'consciously creating.' It is following the inner compass that guides you towards a truer self.

It is listening to your inner voice and your feelings and following through with standing up for yourself and following your own path in this life.

...

For some reason, society in its current incarnation isn't organized in such a way as to encourage and enhance the explorations of these three major steps toward living a conscious life, loving a conscious love and being truly happy.

With so much noise and bombast happening outside, sometimes it's good to head inside and get back to basics.

To say-these things matter.

These three things.

Know Thyself, Feel Your Feelings, Be True to Yourself.

Life is beautiful. Life is simple. But you have to learn how to live it.

To Reach Happiness Live Your Life Now

You only live in this moment. If your head is in your past or in your future you are missing out on your present. Can you do anything about your past? Can you do anything about your future other than plan for it? And how do you plan for it? By taking action now. By living in the here and now you empower yourself to live the life you want, I mean consciously want.

If you don't like the way your world looks, change the way you look at your world. I include looking at your past--only in so far as you can change your past by seeing it through new eyes, consciously living eyes.

You created your past experiences by interpreting and focusing on specific thoughts with great emotional attachment. What if you looked at every hurt--emotional and physical--and saw the gift you received? What if a severe injury caused you to be grateful for simple things you never thought about before--things like being able to stand up and walk? Or open your eyes and see? Or follow a conversation?

You choose the value of every event in your life. You can make everything that happens great--even when the pain is excruciating. I bet you have known people who live with great pain yet enjoy their lives while others in pain spend all their time bemoaning their "fate."

Life is truly what you make of it. I know because I recovered from a brain injury that turned my life upside-down. The doctors told me I would not get better. My attitude and my paradigms, which differed from that of the sixteen experts on my medical team, allowed me to heal.

There are 3 types of people in the world:

1. Those who make things happen

2. Those who watch things happen

3. Those who wonder what happened

Your life only changes when you take action.

Be well and happy. In the end, nothing else matters.

Warning: Do not neglect the above! Make sure to take this advice seriously if you want to create your world to live in happiness.

STOP!
Are you about to give up being happy forever?

If what you do every day has not let you create a reality of happiness yet, do you really think anything will look different tomorrow?

Discover what stops you cold. Go to http://LiveInHappinessNow.com/indexW.html and grab my FREE ebook, What You Don't Know You Don't Know

And remember... Don't give up hope... You deserve to be happy.
