Non-Physical Conscious Awareness - Some of the Qualities

Human Consciousness can be measured with an Electro-Encephalograph (EEG) machine. What we do not see is the non-physical aspects in the Aura of the person - the electromagnetic field of energy that surrounds the Human Body.

The Human Aura is multi-dimensional; it is not just a shell-like field of energy which is like an egg around the body. It has different layers, which correspond to the different layers of the physical body: the Whole Body, Organs, Cells, Molecules, Atoms, Finer Particles, Light Body and Core Being or Vacuum.

As well as these layers we have the Energy Centres - Chakras - coming out like cones. As the colours of these cones merge with each other we see different colours of light being formed to give us a point in the Aura of each shade and hue.

You can watch the Aura having different shades of points of light, acting like radio tuners receiving similar frequencies from our environment; the Human Body can tune into all frequencies at the same time and we can interpret these with our emotions and feelings.

When we smile we can feel the energy in our cheeks extending out from our body like angel's wings or like a magnetic field; this is created within the body, as would happen in a bar magnet. The field of energy which our physical body creates extends out into the non-physical Aura and beyond, like the force field surrounding a magnet.

Our body is sensing the astrological influences from the planets, as we exist in the Earth's Magnetic Field. All these different electromagnetic levels of energy and force have an influence on our consciousness and our thoughts, feelings, and emotions.

We notice how we feel happier on a bright, sunny day than we do when dark storm clouds are over us.

We live in an invisible field of Electromagnetic Energy which covers the full spectrum: Gamma Rays, X-Rays, Ultraviolet, Visible Light, Infra-red, Radio Frequencies, etc. We are connected as One with this field of Energy and it is part of our Conscious Awareness.

As well as this natural electromagnetic field from our solar system, we are also influenced by the electromagnetic smog of mobile phones, TV and radio and all the other methods of man-made communication using this underlying field of energy in which we live.

Human consciousness can use the underlying electromagnetic field to send messages telepathically, and to get premonitions and déjà-vu insights.

The Universe uses this field of Power and Force in an effortless way, to bring about synchronicities in our life; our vibration draws to us the things which are patterned in our being; something magical seeks us out and happens in our life.

As more humans become aware of this non-physical electromagnetic field of energy, it grows stronger and the synchronicities happen more often. The accident rate is declining as everything acts as part of the whole and moves in a frictionless flow of life in Conscious Awareness.

Conscious Mom

Hey Moms! I was thinking this morning about how I get up, put the dog out, make coffee and settle in to checking my email - all pretty unconsciously and I began to wonder how much of our lives are spent that way. How much is rote, routine and semi-unconscious? I also began to think about how effective and efficient I am being when I am in that state. It makes me wonder how much of my life - at least regarding my daily routines - are spent in a semi-conscious state. What am I missing that I could be more attuned to? How is this working for you as a mom?

I know my girls tell me all of the time that I was a great mom but I wonder just how available I was, especially when I got into that routine, semi-conscious place? One thing I know about being preoccupied or only partially present is that it costs. It costs in terms of time and impact on other people. Usually we have to spend more time and energy fixing what we missed or screwed up than if we would have paid full attention in the first place. Most of us learn that lesson the hard way and some of us never learn it at all.

So, my questions for the day is, "What difference would it make in your life and in the lives of your kids if you were consciously present more of the time?" What would you get to experience that you are now missing? What would you become more aware of and more attuned to? How would your relationship with your kids and your spouse change? How much more enjoyment would you get out of life?

I don't know the answer to all of those questions but I am going to try to be more present myself and check it out. I know that at first anyway it will seem like it takes more energy and it probably will. None of us have a whole lot of extra energy to give but in the long run I am convinced that it will save me energy and I get the distinct feeling that there will be a lot more to life. It will be fun to see what I am missing.

How about you? What changes will you try to make? When do you tend to get in that semi-conscious zone? Let me know what happens and we can share our insights.

The Balance of Conscious and Unconscious Mind

"As Below, so above.

As above, so below"

- Hermes Trismegistus-

The universe is in balance (above).

You (the mini universe) in not (below) yet.

To achieve balance for YOU.

Conscious Mind = Unconscious Mind.

The universe is expanding or contracting, it does because it is in balance and hence its pulse of life exist as flood and ebb, flowing with life. Like the heart beat, it expand and contracts, because the heart is balanced, else the heart would have exploded, so is the universe, in balance.

We on the other hand, the microcosm of the macrocosm of the universe are imbalance, we get confused and uncertainty hence the rhythm of life cannot be executed in harmony with peace like the universe. The missing element for balance within each of us is 'balance'.

The balance between what?

The balance between 'conscious mind' and 'unconscious mind'.

Many times we get into situations in life events that gets too difficult, too much stress, we tend to 'walk away from', or 'run away' from it instead of confronting it and complete it. Be it successful or failure, we tend to walk away without seeing the ending on a conscious level.

You see it is not about being 'successful or failure' that matters in the end for balance, it is the 'completing' of the event that matters, that put the 'u-niverse in balance'.

The conscious mind is to know what is the 'ending', 'the completion' of that which it had been presented with, instead of just walking away from it, for the 'unconscious mind' had recorded it as a 'beginning' without an 'ending', which means an 'incompletion'. This is what causes the 'imbalance', the conscious mind did not know the ending, the unconscious mind had 'registered the event and awaiting for completion.

In other words, the unconscious is not balanced with the conscious mind.

It is this imbalance that causes us to be off-balance with self.

A huge imbalance, a huge imbalance.

For every incompletion, imbalance adds up on one side of the scale to tip it over to end its harmonic rhythm of life, the flow is hampered.

We, as human beings has to stop with the 'favoritism mentality' or some calls it 'discrimination mentality'. Where we only want to experience that which is good and ignore the bad, this discrimination created the 'imbalance' in life.

We begin an event, but along the way, the stress built up and we think it is not in our favor, we walk away from completing the experience in life... This leaves a 'mark' in the unconscious mind, for the unconscious mind needs completion, be it 'good or bad', it needs an ending. Whether the conscious mind knows it or not, it too, needs completion for the balance to be returned for health, wealth and wisdom.

Many know the saying, you must experience the rain in order to appreciate the sun. So it is with life, many wants only the 'happy', 'good' events in life and runs away from the 'sad', 'bad' events in life. This is okay, only this, you are to COMPLETE the event, a beginning and an end so that you can see and judge the event, many fails to complete and judge its' ending in life.

Acceptance of the event, experience it and complete it!

This is how we can have a balanced life, one that allows conscious mind = unconscious mind, for health, wealth and wisdom.

Be it good or bad, favorable or unfavorable.

We need to experience it and 'take responsibility for it' to completion.

Many as many knows, we take the credit and 'blame the debit' on someone else.

We are practicing 'discrimination on life', this favoritism mentality if continued will eventually lead to chaos, or some would call it 'backfire' on the one executing the favoritism, it always happens, only a matter of time, for the unconscious mind knows and is always reminding the conscious mind to return and complete what is has began.

With the discriminating mentality, success is but short term for the fall of the temporary success will reveal it self sooner or later.

With the balanced mind, success will be seen in the long term, even thought the short term seems unfavorable, but time will unfold its hidden treasures to those who take a balanced path to life, experience and accept life as a responsible person, for wealth, health, wisdom is beyond the short term challenge being confronted when one takes responsibility for the experience of life!

When conscious = unconscious, temporary setback but long term abundance for health, wealth and wisdom.

When conscious =/ (not) unconscious, temporary success, but long term failure in wealth, health and death imminent!

Many times, the imbalance is due to our 'ego' or so call, 'intelligence' that prevent us from experiencing life in a balanced way, but a discriminating way.

When we learned to 'listen' to our unconscious mind, we begin to live a healthy life and with health, wealth comes along as the responsible person is wanted by everyone in society.

Many however, when the unconscious mind tells us to rest, we say no, later, we push the unconscious mind beyond what it is ready to handle which later causes the unconscious mind to break down, hence the health issue arises.

Why do we stop listening to our unconscious mind for rest?

Because we 'want more', we know best consciously, all others can take a number and wait.

Our unconscious mind is here to help us, when we ask someone who helps us to wait, it is only a matter of time the helper will leave us.

So listen to the unconscious mind so that we can have a balanced life.

Where the conscious = unconscious mind.

Which lead to health, wealth and wisdom, as time unfolds to reveal to us the treasures of life!

Understanding Your Conscious and Unconscious Minds

So much of what we do is with our conscious mind - we are aware that we are doing these things - yet the unconscious mind is busily at work in the background. For instance, we think consciously about what we are going to say when we write a speech but our unconscious mind is minding our physical store. It makes sure our heart beats, that we breathe - it keeps our bodily functions going without our having to think consciously about those things. Most of us don't think about and/or don't know much about our unconscious mind but it is very important to who we are and how we go about living our lives.

Here are some different ways our "two minds" work.

Consciously our mind works in a linear fashion. It takes things a step at a time even if we sometimes make cognitive leaps. What we are not aware of is that our unconscious mind works holistically. It is keeping our entire body balanced and functioning.
The conscious part of us processes sequentially while we get our intuition from the unconscious mind. When we learn to trust our intuition we sometimes get great insights into the world around us.
Then we have logic versus creativity. This is related to right and left brain functions but our unconscious is driving our creativity while our conscious is driving our logic.
As I mentioned in the introduction paragraph one mind is responsible for verbal language while the other is busy running our bodies. This frees us up to think about what we are doing and experiencing instead of thinking about what we need to do to stay alive.
Our conscious brain is responsible for mathematics while our unconscious brain focuses on our emotions. That is why emotions are so hard to understand sometimes. They can be buried where we are not aware of them.We have all had the experience of all of a sudden becoming emotional and wondering where that came from - now you know.
Now that we have been through a few of these guess which brain is responsible for analysis? Right. And the unconscious is responsible for storing our memories. That's a good thing too - imagine what it would be like if we had to be aware of where in our vast file cabinet we put our memories!

Most of the time our two brains work together in tandem not in opposition. The more aware we get of both being active the broader our view of the world becomes.

Our New Heroes and Heroines - Socially Conscious Business

When we think of business, the motto typically has been, "a deal is good if it is best for me." Today, social entrepreneurs inspire us with a new motto, "A deal is good when it is good for all concerned." Moreover, most business gurus have not used words like "joy" and "generosity" to talk about the bottom line, nor do we typically think of business creating a sustainable global economy. Yet, for increasingly more entrepreneurs, that is just what is happening. For many, these are our new heroes and heroines.

Our New Heroes and Heroines

The dictionary defines "hero" as "a person noted for feats of courage or purpose, especially one who has risked or sacrificed his life." A new kind of hero is emerging. They are not famous politicians or soldiers, yet they have improved the lives of millions of people and made the world more secure.

Their weaponry is not of guns and war, but of creative ideas, dogged determination, and a deep belief in their power to change the world. These "social entrepreneurs" are bringing life-changing tools and resources to people desperate for solutions. They are the many businesses that are becoming more socially conscious.

For these entrepreneurs, the bottom line is about more than profit, it is also about people and the planet. They align business strategy with the goals and values of broader society by focusing on the social, environmental, as well as financial contributions of a company. They help to build communities where employees are happy to work, live, and stay, and thereby build stable businesses and communities.

What are They Doing?

Perhaps the most well-known hero can be seen in the story of the Gameen Bank, one of the most successful development organizations in the world. Founded by Muhammad Yunus in Bangladesh in 1976, the Gameen Bank has extended small loans for self-employment to more than two million woman villagers and has helped to lift hundreds of thousands out of poverty. The Gameen bank's 'trickle up' approach has inspired the creation of hundreds of "micro-credit" programs around the world and helped to reshape international development policy.

Another example is that of Susan Davis, a powerful woman in finance; who maintains a down-to-earth candor that resonates caring, authenticity, and concern. She lives in a small town in Wisconsin, and is thrilled at growing an organic vegetable garden. Yet she has created networks among some of the nation's wealthiest families, foundations, women business owners, and socially conscious investors. She educates money managers about the win-win opportunities for socially responsible investing while giving them the tools and contacts to do the job. This helps them to create socially conscious businesses and practice.

The Big Question: Finance

One of the biggest questions about socially responsible business is: Do socially responsible companies perform better financially? One of Susan Davis' concerns has been whether this approach is supported by hard research. On this, evidence from meta studies is in: Social and environmental responsibility does go hand in hand with superior financial performance.

A meta-study is distinguished by being a study of studies. It covers years of research from a variety of perspectives, which lends to its greater authority. A most impressive and rigorous was done by Orlizky of the University of Sydney, Australia, and Frank Schmidt and Sara Rynes at the University of Iowa. What were their findings? A statistically significant positive association between corporate social performance and financial performance. It does not take rocket science to understand why socially conscious businesses do better. The businesses are centered on values and mission, and employees are more engaged around a purpose, which makes it easier for the firms to handle external change, turbulence, and crisis. It builds reputations and enhances relationships with investors, while attracting better employees and maintaining goodwill. The firms do better and run better. With the current economic crisis, these new social entrepreneurs help to bring hope to all of us.

Conscious Entrepreneurs: Come Out of the Spiritual Closet!

Everywhere I look, I seem to discover a new marketing term for self-employed professionals. Conscious Entrepreneurs. Evolutionary Entrepreneurs. Heart-Based Entrepreneurs. Visionary Change-Agents.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. Except that I've never met anyone who said, "Hi, I'm a heart-based entrepreneur." Meanwhile, I'd been trying to avoid stepping on those inert, unconscious entrepreneurs. And if someone did introduce her or himself as an evolutionary entrepreneur, I'd be curious to have them show me their X-Men-like ability to transform chimpanzees into clients.

What these marketing strategies are addressing, I believe, is that many coaches, entrepreneurs, holistic practitioners, and more are just done with the old paradigm to simply make money: they feel compelled to transform the world around them by adhering to their life purpose. And why? Because they believe in something bigger than themselves, and likely have had direct experience with... well, here's where we run into trouble, because the terms are so loaded. Spirit guides. Angels. And, yes, God. Although if you'd prefer to avoid the Judeo-Christian burdens laid upon it, you can call it the Divine, Spirit, Source, the higher self, Presence, the inner light, or a plethora or other terms.

For many of us spiritually based (at least in our personal lives) entrepreneurs, Divine Presence is the real reason behind our passions and work in the world. We weren't given a choice - we must do what we are doing, and must continue to follow our inner guidance. There's no shortage of us - and our numbers are radically growing. Yes, 2012 is here.

Yet in many circles, we still act as if it were the 1950's, and a radical act to talk about intuition when in a business context. We don't want to be labeled "woo-woo." And, if your spiritual practice is embedded within a particular religious tradition, somehow the old separation of church and business limits us from being overt about it. We don't want to turn others off, afraid of being blacklisted and having our businesses fail.

Unfortunately, in the course of doing so, we hide what matters most to us, and pretend that Something Larger really doesn't matter at all or play such a prominent role in our lives. We forget that so many others feel the same way.

So I'm taking this opportunity to "out" myself. I previously had been calling myself a Performance Coach. Yes, I work with self-aware entrepreneurs and professionals who want their businesses to perform well, and to perform as compelling and effective public speakers. The full truth is that I tap in intuitively to what is most aligned with your life purpose, as well as with those you are here to serve, and to help you show up as the real you. The truth is that I'm an Intuitive Business Strategist and an Authenticity Coach. "Intuitive" and strategic? You bet: there's nothing more strategic or authentic than tapping into your Divine Light to guide you forward on your path in a practical, tangible way.

Depending on one's clientele, this must be negotiated individually, and often slowly. It may take time for this to emerge. But when we have deeper conversations, reveal more about ourselves, and take risks, we create room for others to really be themselves too - and even forge stronger client relationships. By being totally authentic to our core values, and speaking in our highest truth, we become an inspiration, and light the way for others to come to us.

Note: this does not imply that it is appropriate to begin talking about God in every business conversation. I've certainly felt uncomfortable at times when others with very different beliefs have brought up their beliefs out of the blue. The point is: if you are already using somewhat muted terms to talk about spirituality - and especially if your ideal clients actually hold similar worldviews - that's a really good time to consider being more open.

So whether you're a conscious entrepreneur, a visionary, or simply work for yourself while definitively knowing you're here for a reason, I have one question for you:

Are you ready to come out of the spiritual closet?

Secrets of the Law of Attraction - Making Conscious Choices

Everyone makes hundreds of choices daily and most of them seem small, unimportant, and certainly not life changing. However, it is essential for you to learn to make your choices consciously. To allow The Law of Attraction and Law of Cause and Effect to create what you want in your life you need to master making your choices with intent and not on automatic pilot because you have always done something in a certain way or because you think you are required to do it.

Have you put your dreams and deepest desires aside because you feel overwhelmed with all the things on your To Do List? Do you wonder how you can find the time, energy, and focus to make your dreams a reality and manifest the life that your true self urges you to live? To attract what you want into your life you first need to identify what you can release to make room for more of what you want. For most of us, our lives are so full it is difficult to add anything into them even something we would really like to include.

I encourage you to take a long, hard look at all the activities and responsibilities that are presently filling your life. You have the ability to create what you desire in your life, but, it will require you to make different choices. You will need to accept that very few things are actually mandatory. You must breathe, eat, and sleep. Very few other things are true necessities. Most of what you are doing in your life you are CHOOSING to do.

If we are serious about transforming our lives and living them to the fullest then we need to take an honest and uncompromising look at our responsibilities and To Do Lists. Reflect on each item and remember that you have the choice to do each of those tasks or not. Becoming aware and making our choices consciously is a big step toward creating the life we dream of living. We also need to develop an awareness of why we do things, what our motivation is for all the busyness we keep in our lives. As you become more aware of the choices you are making you will need to be honest with yourself about your incentives for making them. If you are always excessively busy and have too many responsibilities it insulates you from having to take the time to reflect on and face your self imposed blocks. You can blame your too busy life and your very long To Do List for not being able to realize your dreams.

Making changes, even ones we desire can be extremely scary and stressful. You may attend a workshop or read a book and become inspired about your dreams but as you step back into your daily schedule you find yourselves just too busy to take the time to focus on your dreams and create a plan to manifest them. You can not get started; you just can not find the time and are inundated with responsibilities. The reality is that you are creating the busyness in your life! Are the choices you are making today getting you closer to the life you dream about living? Are you feeling fulfilled and excited about your life? Are you living your most magnificent dream? If not it may be time to take responsibility for your choices. I challenge you to dare to dream (and dream BIG), and to step into that dream today and start living it. Even if it is just in some small way, start today! Make a different choice today and carve out time in your schedule for your dreams; begin your journey down the path that will lead to greater fulfillment and joy in your life. DO IT NOW.

The Subconscious Need Always Overrides the Conscious Want

If there is one thing that all of my patients learn from me, it is that the subconscious need will always over ride the conscious want. What this refers to, as I have said in other articles is that no matter what we may wish for, intention, visualize, desire, need, or want may be subject to sabotage due to a deeper psychological core issue that is not in sink with our getting more.

The subconscious is the psychological DNA, built from birth to eight denoting who one believes he/she is, and how one believes they are seen by the world. Once this is laid into the personality foundation, it is there forever until it is unlearned at the level it was originally implanted. The conscious wants on the other hand, are all the things we want to achieve and accomplish in our lives. Such things as an education, a profession, a career, make good money, have healthy relationships, i.e., romantic and friends, create abundance, change, or have peace and goodness in our lives. All of these things are the overt desires that are not only normal, but appropriate.

Hence, what happens when we want to drink pure water and only have a muddy glass to drink from? Obviously, we choke on the muddy water that gags us as we whole heatedly ingest bad water. And no matter how hard we want to believe, deny or make the muddy water into clear water, the only result we are going to get is gagging. What this means to each of us is that until the glass is cleaned out, we can not truly get what we want. So too, is it with the subconscious. If housed in the subconscious sense of self is negative miss-beliefs, then the well of our desires will be tainted.

Specifically, if at our core psychological DNA there lies a miss-belief that we are unlovable, how can we find a healthy love? We can't! How if at our core, we hold a miss-belief about ourselves that we are unworthy, can we be given wealth? How can, if at our psychological core we hold a miss-belief that we are bad, can we find goodness? Again, though we may find some of what we want there will be sabotage. As we hold a learned miss-belief about our selves as our truth, we will not be able to rise above it and allow what it is we want because at our core, we do not believe we are really deserving of it.

Now, when I say we do not believe we are truly deserving, I am not taking about a figure of speech. I mean that in the core of your being is a sense that this is all you get, and you are not about getting anything more. This belief system runs our behavior, our choices, our intentions, and our ability to expand in life. If, for instance you grow up in an alcoholic family, one of the common reports of home life is that one never knew as you walked through the door what was going to happen. Therefore, whenever you come home having had a good day, the alcoholic would lash out at the family due to his/her intoxication and ruin the good moment. As that pattern gets laid in the subconscious, the Adult Child of an Alcoholic (A.C.O.A.) takes in at their core psychological DNA that goodness is only temporary and that at some point the 'other shoe will drop.' Now remember, this is not an intellectual construct.

It is a psychological core belief that is a true a reality as the sun coming up in the east and setting in the west. Hence, in their adulthood, A.C.O.A.s have a core mistrust of goodness. In fact, as goodness increases, so does their sense of agitation, expecting that it is going to be sabotaged. As this agitation increases, it becomes so uncomfortable that at some point the A.C.O.A. sabotages the goodness just to get rid of the agitation. Here, there is the reality of the unconscious need to minimize agitation, and the resulting sabotage over rides the conscious want for goodness.

This premise can be seen in many other examples, but lets take one more. What if you grow up in a family where you take in at the psychological DNA core that you are unworthy of love. This is predicated on the situational reality that your parents were unloving, disallowing, non-nurturing, deeply wounded, etc. Once this is in your belief system remember it is there for life until you unlearn this miss-belief at the level you learned it at.

So as you venture into adult relationships wanting to find healthy love and acceptance, you end up with people who are distant, non-nurturing, and unavailable. How again does this happen? If the subconscious holds that you are not worthy of love, it sabotages the conscious want for a healthy loving relationship. What typically happens is that the person usually finds someone to keep proving themselves to, so that they can "try" to earn love from an unloving source.

There are many examples of how the subconscious need over rides the conscious want, but the important point to make is that you have to do the inner work of unlearning the core psychological DNA miss-beliefs to be able to attract and keep your conscious desires and intentions.

Conscious Evolution - The Shift Happens When You Align With Your Higher Self

If you accept the idea that your higher self is in charge of your life and that your higher self had deliberately planned for you to experience certain challenges in your life so that you would gain wisdom (and deep understanding and appreciation) by living through them, you may wonder why it now requires a conscious effort on the part of your ego personality self to reconnect to the higher self within (conscious evolution).

Why isn't the process of conscious evolution automatic? Why can't you just go on autopilot instead of needing to consciously cultivate a relationship with your higher self? Why do you need to make a conscious decision and a deliberate effort to begin the process, why do you need to align with your higher self, why do you need to do anything different than what you've already been doing?

Well, you have been going pretty much on autopilot according to the challenges your higher self had planned for you to grow through and if you're completely thrilled with where you are right now, I would not recommend any changes. But if you would rather experience upliftment, if you'd rather begin to grow through joy rather than pain and suffering (because you think you've evolved enough spiritually and you're ready to make that switch), I'd recommend you make an effort to reconnect to your higher self and begin the process of conscious evolution now. Because this is what is going to cause a shift in your consciousness, and then in your life.

It's easy to keep something going when it's already in motion, when it already has momentum. But to be able to create a new experience or to change a direction in your life, you need to make a deliberate effort. That's why they call it conscious evolution.

You need to get past the inertia that's present. (Inertia is the resistance or disinclination to motion, action, or change.) When you're in the latter stages of momentum, it may only take, say, one unit of effort to yield 10 units of returns. But when you're beginning something new, at first it may seem to take 10 units of effort to yield one unit of return.

The good news is, if you make the effort it won't take long to see some results so that you are motivated to continue the process. It is this process of conscious evolution that will eventually lead you to your "Golden Age." (While this won't take long, it's not instantaneous either.)

If you choose to ignore your higher self it will try to get your attention with increasingly drastic measures. It's pretty obvious this is what's happening in the world right now. You have free will as to when you begin, but don't worry, it's all perfect. Whatever happens, it's just your higher self trying to teach you something. Call it tough love, if you want, but eventually we will all make it through.

Andrew Cohen, founder and Editor-In-Chief of EnlightenNext Magazine (formerly Enlightenment Magazine) says this well: "An extraordinary latent potential for unbridled creative engagement and egoless compassion lies deep within us, waiting to be released into this world. But most of us don't see this, or if we do, we don't realize that it is not going to happen by itself. At this juncture in human history, the evolution of our species requires one thing and one thing only--our conscious, whole-hearted participation. We bear a profound responsibility to be evolutionary pioneers."

Life Phrases Upward - I Am Conscious - A Phrase to Live By

Be conscious of your mind. (Pun intended.) Have you heard the phrases, "What were you thinking?" or "What was going on in your head when you did (said) that?" Do not be a person who is unaware that you have a mind. And that mind is constantly churning with mental activity.

Most people, you do not want to be one of them, have no idea what is going in their minds. That is, they have no knowledge of their thought processes until after something is done or said that they wish they could take back. They even often ask themselves, "Now, where did that come from?"

So, how does one become conscious of one's mind? Stop and listen to the inner dialogue (or diatribe) that is like a constantly flowing river in your brain. But you've got to stop and listen. You cannot know what you are thinking until you take the time to sit or stand quietly and hear what your thoughts are. The average person has no trouble doing this. Take your mind off other things, in a time of quiet, and listen to your own thoughts.

Gather your own opinions. What do you think about thus-and-so? When you know what your opinions are ahead of time, you can respond with those opinions when the time is appropriate. Know what your prejudices are. (Prejudices are pre-judgments you have made about people and things.) This way you can know what you are going to say or do when you meet someone or something you are prejudiced toward.

What does this do for you? Knowing your own mind makes you have a better life. Yes, I believe that knowing your own mind makes for a better life. When you speak or act, out of a known consciousness, you are proactive from a position of knowledge, not of ignorance. I think you easily recognize that living out of knowledge is the better way to go. It makes for a better life. Acting out of ignorance, unconsciousness, means that your life will be haphazard at best, and filled with catastrophes, at worst. So, act and speak out of consciousness, beginning right now.

Self Conscious

Imagine this, you walk into a bar and see a lovely girl that smiles at you, but you are afraid to go and talk in case you make a fool of yourself by saying the wrong thing, or worse still not saying anything because you are too shy.

Imagine, you are with a group of friends who are laughing and telling jokes, you keep quiet because you fear that if you tell a joke you will get it all wrong and make a fool of yourself.

Imagine, you are feeling very hungry and as you are about to walk into a restaurant you see it is quite full and you are afraid that if you walk in people will look at you and you won't know what to do with your hands, so you walk on still very hungry and also very miserable.

Imagine - but I could go on and on and on. Sounds familiar? Perhaps this is a picture of yourself, or someone you know. This unfortunately is the picture of the negative thoughts taking control of our sub-conscious and eliminating the positive from our conscious mind. There are two kinds of thoughts that control our lives. The one that takes priority is the one that dictates the type of life we lead, it is that vital.

Therefore, to understand the importance that either negative or positive thinking takes in controlling our lives is very, very essential. Many people do not understand the workings of the conscious and sub-conscious mind, simply because they have not really given the matter any serious thought. We are in control of our own mind, we can control whether or not a negative thought, or a positive thought enters our sub-conscious. If we let the negative take over then that will be embedded in the sub-conscious, so we have to condition ourselves to always accept positive thought and reject the negative by mind activity.

What I mean by mind activity is to realize that you can throw out the negative thought that enters your mind by replacing it with a stronger positive thought, be more positive and less negative. If you were going for a job interview tomorrow and were feeling negative about it, it would mean that you believe you are going to make a mess of things and you do not stand a chance. In other words you are already deciding the outcome in a negative sense. Your negativity will be like a halo around you when you enter the interview room and this will show itself to the person interviewing you, you will appear a negative person.

On the other hand you have the chance to throw out the negative thought and replace it with a positive attitude, and you know that you will carry the interview off just fine, there will be no problems and you will handle the situation full of confidence, and this will reflect upon the person interviewing you, thus showing yourself as a very confident person. The choice is yours but you must take the right action - always be positive.

Building the Content of a Great Character: A Conscious Decision

In strong contrast to racism, the great Martin Luther King implied that all of man should be judged by the content of their character rather than the colour of their skin; an excerpt of the popular "I have a dream speech". In turn, it is only fair that people be given a chance of an assessment of credibility based on the simple pedestal of personal character. This is built by the values you hold dear to your heart and the principles you choose to live by. Building the content of personal character is a conscious decision and one that every man gets the chance to modify by the day. A good starting point is to ask the question: What are my values, the principles I hold dear to my heart and choose to live by? A clear answer to the latter would yield an evaluation status and help forge a way forward by providing the present position and how much effort is required in the long run.

Ethics and moral values are very fast on the decline, but strangely enough, these were the pillars that preserved our world until now, giving us the barest opportunity of inheriting a place where there is just enough trust to transact business and go about our daily affairs. This is not say that it was a perfect world in the past, but comparatively it was a weightier issue in those days that one had the ability to live above-board as it was a more highly recommended subject, one that was even included in the educational curriculum. Whilst some writ might have clearly defined laws written down as a guide for religion, most of our values and principles are often unwritten but readily available if only we choose to imbibe and readily live by them.

In the process of building a great character, values such as the following would be of immense benefit: hold your word as your bond; build a passion and a commitment to the truth even if it hurts you and benefits another; look out for others, and you will not lack in your own personal needs; imbibe the system of philanthropy- giving of yourself because of a better understanding of a larger purpose rather the system of incentives or rewards. Obviously, it would be quite easy to say that none of these recommendations is new but in fact the more potent thing is to do a reality check as to how much of these we practice in our daily lives. Amazingly, human beings know so much of the truth but how much of it is put into practice is questionable.

Making a conscious effort at improvement after learning from our faults and failings is a good way to go. It brings to the fore, the essential reality that things could be done better. Effectively, a problem realized is as good as half solved especially when compared to a man who doesn't yet realize or accept that there is a problem on the horizon. Molding the content of a great character can be a painful process but it is often worth the effort if it is examined from the right perspective. With constant practice, and a conscious repetition of what values need to be improved on, progress is gradually made in the journey to becoming a better person. It is also great to constantly evaluate how much improvement has been made even if the process is slow but progressive.

Personal character is like a beacon of light that shines through unhindered, and the content would always show forth, leaving the beholder to examine the measure of greatness or otherwise. No matter how much pretence is applied, it does not take too much to decipher a character devoid of the right values and principles. It is essentially the root of the human being and determines so much of everything, even as fundamental as the words spoken by the minute. Character is a great participant in determining the mode of the mind and the development of the mentality kind. Whilst present happenings around may determine the state of the mind, it takes the right content of character to marshal effective strategy to wade through successfully. Building the right content of a great character is key and very essential to the successful execution of a life worthy of emulation and celebration.

Be Body Conscious Or Suffer Personal & Professional Consequences

Wouldn't your think that since we spend our entire lives doing everything we do -- from thinking, tasting and hearing, to smelling, feeling and interacting -- that we'd be more aware of what allows us to do all these things? And since 90% of our communication is non-verbal, wouldn't it make sense to be more conscious of, yes, our bodies?

Our bodies provide us the capacity to sense what is tasty, silky, sonorous, nurturing, dangerous and inspiring. Yet those of us who have been raised in the western world have come to worship, to hyper-focus on our intellects as the way to live effective and full lives.

In contrast, our bodies (and emotions) are given minor roles or omitted completely from life's lexicon because focusing on them is considered 'soft', inferior or even weird. Yet we suffer personally and professionally by abbreviating the full extent of who we are.

By plowing ahead despite an unhealthily raised or lowered heartbeat, painful joints, head or stomach aches, we risk messages that something(s) is/are not right in our lives, not only physically, but perhaps also mentally or emotionally.
By speeding to work without noticing the emergent signs of Spring, we eclipse the amazing wonders and gifts that life is presenting to us - for free.
By ignoring a client's non-verbal cues, we miss the opportunity to make adjustments to our offer in order to a seal a deal.
By being oblivious to a friend or colleague's slumped posture and barely audible "I'm fine" in response to the often perfunctory "How are you," we risk not only inhibiting a relationship, but diminishing our credibility as a sincere person.

While analyzing and intellectualizing certainly have their rightful place, when we live primarily in and from our heads, we minimize not only our own lives, but quite possibly the lives of others and our connections with them.

How can we engage all of who we are so that we can live effective, full lives? Awareness is key.

I'd like to propose a practice for you to commit to over the next four weeks. It is not only simple, but it will give you an opportunity to decide if paying attention to your body does in fact enrich your life, personally, professionally, relationally and with the world as a whole. If it does, which I believe it will, there are innumerable ways to become more body conscious and to make appropriate adjustments that you deem necessary to maximize your engagement in and with life.

SETTING THE STAGE: Once each day for five minutes, assume you cannot speak. The only messages you can receive about yourself, others and the world around you are non-verbal.
SELF: Begin by focusing inside yourself. How fast/slow, shallow/deep is your breath? Now scan your muscles and joints, from the top of your head to your toes. Are they tense, achy, relaxed? What might these indicators be trying to tell you about your state being? What happens emotionally or mentally if you make a physical adjustment?
OTHERS: Observe others' body movements and facial gestures. Take in the energy they emit. Are they attracting or repelling to you? What are their bodies telling you about them and about you?
WORLD: What sounds do you hear? How about colors, textures, shapes of things around you, both natural and man-made? Scents?
REFLECT: Take it all in. What happens to and for you when you do?

Conscious Business - The 4 Components of Conscious Business Success

I often get asked by colleagues and clients, "What's it take to really succeed in business during times like this?" First, I tell them that "times like this" don't have to be their reality. In fact "times like this" are the "best of times" for many entrepreneurs who take a serious (and conscious) approach to their business, and refuse to let the "real world" stop them in their tracks.

Success also requires you to have COURAGE - because you've got to be ready to answer some of the tough questions that'll guide you to your highest and best good as a conscious entrepreneur. And, I have to believe that if you're reading this article, you have the courage it takes to do just that. Your courage to keep going, (and not quit on your dream) is what will keep you growing in service to others, to your bottom-line, and to the greater good of all!

So let's take a look at the 4 Components of Conscious Business, which will cause you to ask yourself some of those courageous questions. Use these four components regularly (as a gauge) to see whether or not you are on the right track. And, be ready to make the necessary changes that'll support you in building your successful, prosperous, and conscious business.

Component #1:

A Conscious Business Makes Money Is your business making money? Is it making enough money to fully support your soul's purpose in the world? The truth is, you are meant to attract A LOT of money; not for the purpose of acquiring material possessions (and being able to keep up with the Jones'); rather, you're meant to receive a lot of money so you can do what you were created to do on this Earth. Whether you make $50,000, $500,000 or $5,000,000 per year, now is a good time to take a good look at the bottom-line of your business. And, if you discover your business isn't built on a model that makes a lot of money, have the courage to ask for help to identify the ways in which you can build a profitable, purposeful business.

Component #2:

A Conscious Business Makes a Difference. Does your business truly make a difference to others? Can you feel the difference you're making? When you're operating as a conscious business owner, it's not just about the money; it's about being of service and making a difference in the lives of others. For some entrepreneurs to connect with the difference they're making, they need to look a few layers deep. For instance if you're not in a business that allows you to connect with the difference you make, take a look deeper to see how those clients and customers you serve are making a difference in the world. Once you're able to connect with the difference you make (even if it's a few layers deep), you'll have more motivation and inspiration to grow your conscious business, because you'll know the "ripple effect" your work has on the world.

Component #3:

A Conscious Business Calls You To Be Fully Who You Are Does your business allow you to be ALL of who you are? Are you able to be fully expressed in your business without feeling like you have to hide parts of yourself? Being WHO YOU ARE is the strongest asset you can have as a business owner. Why? Because nobody can be you! Nobody can duplicate your heart and soul! And nobody can exude you... other than you! So, this also means that nobody can compete with you. How sweet is that? You get to design your business in a way that lets you be fully you, AND at the same time you naturally eliminate anyone or anything that can be perceived as "competition." There's only one you, so capitalize on YOU in your business. Not only will you feel great, but you'll also become a magnet that attracts only those customers and clients who are a perfect fit for you.

Component #4:

A Conscious Entrepreneur Trusts In Their Divine Plan Do you believe in a higher, Divine plan? How much trust do you have in that larger plan for your business and your life? This fourth component is vitally important to embrace fully as a conscious entrepreneur; because this is the component that turns "times like this" into the "best of times." This is where you rise above the "reality" of the physical world to connect with the perfect plan that is unfolding for you in each and every moment. Only when you operate your business based on this higher approach will you begin to turn struggle into success, fear into faith, lack into abundance and challenge into triumph.

Now that you've learned more about these four components, I encourage you to spend some time truly pondering the questions posed here. Tap into your courage as you ask these questions, discover the answers and take your next steps. The reward will be a business that is filled with purpose, passion and profit!

Spirituality Information - Planting the Seeds of Conscious Creation

Your spiritual growth requires a consciousness that actively manifests your desires. Spirituality information is unavailable to people who are living unconsciously. They haven't planted the seeds of awareness and cannot therefore reap the harvest of conscious creation.

This article is designed for both the conscious and the unconscious creator. It is spirituality information that is meant to clarify the necessity for your awareness of consciousness.

When you are creating consciously, you are aware of the connection between the cause and effect of what shows up in your life. Just as you plant tomato seeds in the spring, so do you reap the benefits of tomatoes in the summer.

You can see the physical manifestation of the tomato seed as it begins to sprout through the ground, take form as a living, growing tomato plant and then actually bear the fruit of its genes in the form of nice, juicy tomatoes. You can actually view this as it happens and document each stage of this beautiful life process of a tomato from the unmanifest to the manifest.

The process that produces juicy, delicious tomatoes is the same process that manifests your innermost desires into physical reality. You plant the seeds of your desires by choosing a thought that you wish to pursue. You water and feed this seed by your words and then you bear the fruit of your creation by the deeds and actions you take to bring forth your creation into your reality. It is the universal creative process at work and just like the farmer who plants her tomatoes in the spring, so too do you plant the seeds of your creations with every thought that goes through your head.

When you put your intentions and desires out into the universe and then tend the garden of your intentions, so too do you see your intentions and desires manifest themselves into your life.

When you are creating unconsciously, you are unaware of this cause and effect relationship. You put your intentions and desires out into the universe unconsciously and you don't tend the garden of your intentions, so weeds and drought may cause your intentions to be stunted, not fully developed or just die on the vine.

When your unconscious intentions and desires show up in your reality you don't recognize them. You remain unconscious to the fact that you initiated your creations in the first place and you continue to remain unconscious to the idea that "you are the cause of what shows up in your life".

You don't recognize your creations because they may not show up in the exact form that you envisioned when you thought about them as an intention. You don't have the ability to detach yourself from the vision you have of your desires, so you disavow yourself of any responsibility you have in creating what shows up in your life.

It's a double-whammy. You are unconscious about initiating your creations and then you are unconscious as to why your creations manifested into your reality. The sleepwalker, the person who lives unconsciously, does not see the relevance of their role in causing "what happens" in their life as well as accepting responsibility for the effect of "what's happening" in their life.

This is perfectly logical because they are unconscious. They are sleepwalking. They are not "being what serves them." They are not awake to the idea of who they really are.

What does it mean to say that sleepwalkers are not awake to the idea of who they really are? Are not all of us human beings traveling this earth together? Isn't a human being who we really are?

The answer is "No."

Whoa, wait a minute; hold your horses there. What do you mean? Are you saying that I am not a human being?

Actually, I am not saying that you are not a human being. I am saying that a human being is not who you really are.

You see, you are more, so very much more, than a human being. You are a mind, body, spirit being occupying a human body with the ability to create whatever you desire into your life with this wonderful gift of your thoughts.

Use your thoughts wisely and create a magnificent life.

Conscious Dating Works For Twice-Divorced Author

As the author of Conscious Dating and founder of Relationship Coaching Institute I'm excited to share that this year I met my soul mate, Darlene, and we are engaged to be married!

If you're a reader of Conscious Dating you know that I've been married and divorced twice. I thought I met my soul mate (Maggie), but that relationship ended after 5 years. Since then I've done a lot of soul searching and focused on living the life I want while continuing to date around, this time with more consciousness of how I tend to settle and determined to find what I really want in a partner and relationship.

After Maggie I met a wonderful woman (Susan) who seemed aligned with everything I was seeking. We had a lot of fun together, shared many values and goals, yet something held me back. Though close, this relationship wasn't "the whole package" for me. I was seeking a deep emotional and spiritual connection that I did not experience with Susan. I broke off the relationship August 2007 and posted my profile on several internet matchmaking websites determined to find my soul mate or be alone.

December 2007 I received a match online that proved to be my soul mate. Darlene's photo and profile was pretty ordinary, but there was something unexplainable about her that excited me and compelled me to contact her. Our first two meetings were very positive, but routine as first dates go... coffee, then lunch, but something powerful was drawing me to her that I didn't understand. After studying dating and practicing it myself for years, this was new territory for me!

Then, after our third meeting we hugged goodbye and it was all over for me. I was in love. I had insomnia that night and couldn't sleep the next night as well. We had arranged to get together later that week on Sunday, and Darlene contacted me to find out if I could get together on Saturday as she didn't want to wait until Sunday. So she was feeling it too! We ended up talking for 5 hours about our Vision, Requirements, Needs and Wants, and our alignment was amazing. Our chemistry, emotional and spiritual connection was so overwhelming it was wonderful and almost too much to bear.

We've been inseparable since, and six weeks after becoming a couple we went to Carmel for the weekend, found a beautiful ring, and got engaged. Our wedding date is set for September 27, 2008.

I'm happier than I've ever been in my life. My kids love her, her family likes me, the fit all around is like we were meant to be together. We are true Soul Mates in every sense of the word. I yearned to find her for many years, knew she was out there, and now I feel like I am "home."

My wish for all singles and the message of Conscious Dating is that finding your soul mate really CAN happen for you if you're clear about who you are, what you want, become ready and available, use the Law of Attraction, don't settle for less, and go after what you REALLY want.

Conscious, Subconscious and Superconscious

Many discussions are held regarding the conscious, subconscious, and superconscious minds and also about unconscious thoughts. We have heard about the superconscious in different contexts. But how does the superconscious relate to our thoughts and to creating what we desire to have in our lives?

Our conscious mind is the part of us that makes decisions and expresses what is to be impressed on the subconscious mind. It is that part of our mind that we are most aware of while in the awake state and it is that part of the mind that perceives all that is around us. It makes a decision or should make a decision whether it will accept and allow a certain image or information to be impressed on the subconscious. Unfortunately most of the time, people are not in conscious awareness of what they are being exposed to and so a lot of information that is not empowering or useful enters into the subconscious mind and then the person wonders why their life is as it is. This is where being in an unconscious state of mind enters. So you are in an unconscious mode while in a conscious state of mind.

The subconscious is like the powerhouse behind making a desire come into physical manifestation. It makes no decisions of right or wrong and accepts what has been impressed on it and creates from there. But the subconscious actually plays a bigger role in a person's life for the power of the subconscious actually comes through from the superconscious.

The superconsciousness is the God or Source energy. It is of a very high frequency. It is much higher than we would be able to handle or sustain in the lower vibration of our physical bodies. As we evolve through our lives, we are to learn how to handle the higher vibrations of this energy while maintaining the aspects of the physical body. The subconscious acts as a governor that restricts or allows a certain amount of energy or power to flow through. It is affected by emotions and the emotional character of the thoughts we have. So as our thoughts and emotions are of a happy, joyful nature, the subconscious allows more of the superconsciousness to flow through. If our emotions and emotional character of our thoughts are less than happy, then the subconscious restricts the amount of superconscious energy that flows through for it is less of a vibrational match and it would be harder on the body.

Have you ever seen a baby within the first 24 hours of its birth? Have you noticed how "pure" or "bright" or "filled with light" the baby seems? You are seeing a Being of very high vibration that has not had the flow of superconscious/God/Source energy restricted. As the child is exposed to everyday life, the thoughts and feelings of lower vibration that the child is around becomes part of his/her energy field and that higher vibration is reduced. As the child grows and has even more exposure to messages from media and others plus its own thoughts and emotions that are not of a high vibration or happy nature, the vibration continues to lessen. By the time the child is an adult, the vibration can be quite reduced, the person feels quite sluggish in their life and may also have feelings of sadness, depression, etc.

Now, what does this have to do with creating and manifesting in your life? When you are fully in non-physical form, you are then in an energy form of the superconscious/God/Source. In this form, when you have a thought about something it manifests instantly. So the more that you have this superconscious energy flowing through you while in the physical body, the quicker your manifestations will occur.

The subconscious makes no decision whether to restrict or not the flow of superconsciousness energy to you, but instead allows to come forth the amount of energy that is a match to the emotions and emotional character of the thoughts that are present. Maintain the higher vibrational frequencies in your thoughts and emotions and you will bring forth more of the superconscious/God/Source energy in your life and you will see wonderful things happen quicker in your life. This includes excellent health in your body, for the diseases, sickness, and other health issues which are of a low vibration can not be maintain in the present of a higher vibration.

The Conscious Vs the Non-Conscious Brain

Are you trying to get out of the rut you are in financially? Perhaps you're trying yet another diet to lose that stubborn 20-30 lbs. that will not budge. Or maybe you are wondering why your personal relationship keeps falling into the same pattern. You've tried everything to change, but nothing seems to 'stick'. You might see results for a few weeks, even months, but it won't be long before you discover yourself back at the place you started. The problem is, you are relying on your will, and that simply will not bring lasting results.

You see, when you are using your willpower to make a change in your life, you are relying on the conscious part of your brain to maintain control. What scientists have discovered in the last decade or so is that the underlying part of the brain, or the nonconscious brain, accounts for over 96% of what we actually do. Your conscious brain exerts creative control, but your nonconscious brain is where the long-term results come from. Below is a comparison between the conscious and the nonconscious brain.

- The conscious brain makes up about 17 percent of total brain mass and controls just 2 to 4 percent of actual perceptions and behavior. The nonconscious brain makes up about 83 percent of total brain mass and controls 96 to 98 percent of perceptions and behavior.

- Conscious impulses travel at speeds of 120 to 140 MPH, while nonconscious impulses travel at more than 100,000 MPH!

- The conscious brain processes about 2,000 bits of information per second, while the nonconscious brain processes about 400,000,000,000 bit of information per second. Yes, you read that right: Four Hundred Billion.

- The conscious brain is volitional, meaning it is controlled by conscious will, it sets goals and judges the results. The nonconscious brain is servile, meaning it sets no goals of its own. It executes the goals it is provided with. It doesn't judge the merits of results, only whether they match the given goals.

- The conscious brain perceives past and future, and the nonconscious brain has no concept of time. Everything is happening now as far as it is concerned.

- The conscious brain has a very short term memory span, about 20 seconds for most people. The nonconscious brain remembers everything it experiences, forever.

A good analogy for the relationship between the conscious and nonconscious mind is a thermostat in your home. The thermostat represents your nonconscious mind, and you walking around your home represents the conscious mind. Assume your thermostat is set to 80 degrees. You come home from work and realize it's kind of warm in your house. So, you open the doors and windows to cool the place down. This works for a few minutes, until the thermostat registers a dip in the temperature, and the furnace kicks in to bring the temperature back up.

Realizing that didn't work, you open up your refrigerator to cool your house off. Again, you manage to bring the temperature down a bit in your kitchen, but the thermostat soon registers the change and the furnace kicks in again. No matter what you do, the thermostat, which controls the temperature for the entire house, has a lot more control over the situation than you do. Unless, of course, you walk over and re-set the thermostat itself to a more comfortable 70 degrees.

If you're thinking no one would be foolish enough to try to cool their house down this way when they could simply adjust the thermostat, this is exactly what people are doing everyday in their lives when they are trying to use their force of will to override what their nonconscious brain is set to. As you can see from the statistics above, this is a futile effort. The nonconscious brain trumps the conscious brain easily when it comes to achieving results.

For example, if your nonconscious brain is programmed to believe you are always in debt, then no matter what actions take place to change that in the short term, your nonconscious brain will work 24/7/365 to bring you back to that reality. Does your willpower work that consistently? Of course not. This is why many lottery winners end up bankrupt within a few years of winning their jackpot. they view themselves as poor, so that's what the nonconscious brain makes happen. So, if you win the lottery, take the annual payments. You may blow the first few annual payments, but you'll eventually view yourself as a wealthy person, and be much more likely to hold on to that wealth in the latter years.

If you want to change something significant in your life, whether it be money, health or relationships, you have to learn how to re-program your nonconscious mind, or your thermostat. You have to instill new beliefs, so that the nonconscious mind guides you to that new homeostasis. This process will be covered in an upcoming article.

The Conscious Entrepreneur's Blueprint to Earn Passive Revenue With Information Products

Yes, you can be spiritual AND make plenty of money at the same time. In fact, the secret to wealth is already within you. I believe you have a special spark inside that allows you to solve specific problems in your own unique way. And the beautiful part is...people will pay you to solve their problems with your special, core gift.

Imagine a way to positively impact the greatest number of people with your core gift. Imagine the tens of thousands of lives you can help...if you can only reach them. This "dream" is a reality for a select few conscious entrepreneurs who package and sell their knowledge into information products: books, eBooks (electronic books), audio CD's, teleclasses, special reports, workbooks, live workshops, coaching programs, and many more.

The big mistake I see most conscious entrepreneurs make when they try to create info products is diving right into the content without first creating a strategy to create and marketing their info product. I will show you how to avoid this massive mistake so you create an info product that fully expresses your gift to the world while making you rich!

It starts by uncovering that unique spark within you.

Your Core Gift

Your core gift is the theme of your life expressed in all the things you do and love in life. Who you are - your unique strengths - are integral to the heart of your business. Look back over your life and you'll see your core gift expressed everywhere. It's in the games you played as a kid, in your past careers, and in your education path. And it's probably why you chose to be a conscious entrepreneur.

Even countries have core gifts - it's what they believe in as a core value, what they are known for. What do you think is the core value of America? Freedom! When you think of Germany, what do you think of? Order! How about Italy? Family! It's the same in the arts - although you may not be able to put a word to it. Look at The Beatles. Their sound was so unique, it's instantly recognizable. When you see a Picasso, you know it's a Picasso.

You and your business are no different. What's the core theme of your business? How do you bring your core gift to the people you serve? Your info products will come out of your core gift. This will help you distinguish your products and business from everybody else's.

A Simple Exercise That Can Change Your Business Forever

This may sound simple, but it's key to your success with info products - identify what your business is really about. Because many conscious entrepreneurs are borderline ADD, it's important to hone in on one topic and create your products around that.

Here's a simple exercise to find your topic that I think you'll find very enlightening...

Imagine stepping into your local bookstore. Push open the door and feel that rush of cool air. Smell that new-book smell. Somewhere in this bookstore is your book. Think of your book as the embodiment of your business - it represents what your business is all about. (If you already have a book, still play along to make sure your business is on track.)

Stand in the bookstore and notice the signs hanging from the ceiling with general topics: fiction, history, self-help, etc. In your minds eye, start to walk towards the topic your book is under.

Standing under the sign of your general topic, look at the bookcases. Notice the sub-topics listed on the shelves. For example, under business you may find leadership, management, investing, etc. (To give you an idea, my sub-topic is marketing.)

Go to the shelf with your sub-topic.

Now imagine looking for your last name among the books and pick out your book. Remember, your book represents what your whole business is about so feel yourself pulling out your book. Look at the cover. What's the subject of the book?

For example, in my business I go to the "Business" section first. My sub-topic is "Marketing" and as I pull out my book, I see it's about "Info Products."

You can do this exercise in real life. Go to your local bookstore this week and try it out. If you get stuck, go to the information counter and ask an assistant to show you books about ____ (Fill in the blank with general information about what you do.)

(As a side note, it's really fun to see who your neighbors will be on the book shelves. Look up your last name and see who you're next to.)

The Secret to Passive Revenue with Info Products

There's a secret art to making money with your business topic...and that is not selling your topic. What people buy isn't the tangible thing you sell - they buy the core benefit of what you sell. You buy a drill bit because you want a hole, not because you want another piece of metal around the house. You buy eyeglasses because you want clearer vision.

Imagine if you had to sell wall paint. Most people would talk about colors and price, but not you! As a savvy conscious entrepreneur you can tune into the bigger picture - you don't sell paint, you sell happy walls!

Before creating your info product, get clear on what you're really selling. People don't buy information for information's sake alone. It's the bigger benefit people are buying - an end result.

Find the Niche That Makes You Rich

You may have been told you need a niche...and it's frustrating to discover your particular gift. Most conscious entrepreneurs are good at tons of things - it's hard to narrow down all your talents and passions to one thing. And everyone needs what you offer, right?

Well...

There's a HUGE difference between what you think people need and what they actually want. No matter how passionate you feel about your subject, people only pull out their wallets for what they want. I personally love opera (It's crazy - I know. I grew up listening to my Mom and Dad play Elvis and my brother play Led Zeppelin.) I think you should really, really go see an opera. There's nothing else like it. In fact, go spend $200 to see an opera by Wagner. Sure they're 5 hours long...but you'll love it! You must go!

Convinced?

If you have no interest in spending money on opera, there's no amount of "selling" I can do to change your mind. That's why you only want to find people who are hungry for what you offer. "Everybody" is NOT your target market!

Here's a simple technique to find your target market...

On a fresh piece of paper create two columns. In the left column list all the problems you solve with your Core Gift and business. In the right column list all the groups of people who need those problems solved.

Choose a group that looks like an obvious choice - they have a clear problem and they want what you offer.

Choose the Topic of Your Info Product

You now have all the important elements to create a winning info product: your core gift, your topic, and a target market. The next step is easy...choosing the topic of your info product.

You can make your life very easy or very hard here. The easy path is to simply ask your target market what they want most and give it to them. The hard path is to try to figure this out on your own.

Let your target guide you. Ask them what their single greatest challenge is around your topic. Another great way to identify what products to create is notice what people complain about the most. For example, if you teach sales, you may hear people complain that they don't know to separate themselves from their competition. Simply take what they say and add "How to" in front - that's your info product! For example, "How to Separate Yourself from the Competition for Greater Sales."

Create Your Info Product

You're now ready to produce your info product. This is also easy to do. Remember: you want to leverage your information, so one way to start is give a teleclass on your product topic. Record it, transcribe it and package it with some nice graphics. You're ready to make money with your knowledge!

Info products are one of the simplest and best ways for the conscious entrepreneur to make money doing what they love. You already have the expertise hidden in your Core Gift - you've had it all your life. You now have the opportunity to share your gift with the world and fulfill one of your life's purposes.

Emotional Disorders - What Controls Your Conscious Point of Focus?

Scientists tell us the Prefrontal Cortex, a relatively small area of the brain just behind your forehead, performs your 'executive functions' - planning and controlling what you do with your brain and body. It carries out these plans by directing your 'Conscious Point of Focus' to open up to certain sources of stimulation.

Your Focus acts like a pen to the cellular map writing ability of your brain - whatever stimulation you deliberately open up to determines what gets written into your neural maps. The more you consciously and repeatedly focus on the same things the more intense and permanent those new maps become. You have the ability to write and re-write whatever you want to as long as you are willing to do the work involved in the writing - the work is hard.

How you use your tool of conscious focus can either lead to or heal serious emotional issues. Your Conscious Point of Focus is generally called 'what you think about'. Usually we assume thinking means working with strings of just words in our heads.

In our brains words appear to us as sounds we identify as 'verbal self-talk' - of course they are not actually sounds but neural energy creating an illusion we are hearing sounds. When we translate these stimulations into the written word we convert those sounds into pictures and these pictures act as representatives of both sounds and shared social meaning for others (have you ever looked at words as though they were pictures and also sounds with meanings attached to them?). Words are an example of our ability to 'associate' different types of stimuli in such a way we do not even realise they are actually different types of stimuli combined.

Words are quick-fire representations of other things, streams of these representations flow through our conscious and we shape these streams into logical thinking patterns - but we use those patterns to build:

pictures
shapes
sounds
smells (or at least, memories of smells).

We can also reverse this process.

When meanings are related to our value systems they are also attached to powerful emotional responses. We see new patterns in regards to these sources of stimulation in our minds and link these to previously learned patterns. The patterns are created because of differences in intensity, vibrational tone and duration.

We can deliberately choose to focus on any of these things using our Conscious Point of Focus, but we need to choose wisely because our focus is a limited resource. Although there are several options here in regard to stimulation type, there is a limit to the number of stimulations we can deliberately pay attention to at any one time.

Our conscious brains can only work with 4 to 11 bytes of electrical information per second. The greater the number of bytes of information we work with at any one time the harder it is to make sense or even remember what we did in our thinking. Once the incoming rate of information goes to 11 bytes per second you react with stress due to information overload.

When your conscious focus works at full throttle in this way your neo-cortex uses up a lot of glucose energy and gets tired more quickly in comparison to other parts of your brain. There is a limit to how long you can focus on those bytes. Biologically, thinking really is hard work.

Cut It Out

Your Prefrontal Cortex has the job of choosing what to focus your 4 to 11 bytes of conscious attention on whilst dealing with the fact your brain receives stimulation from your senses at roughly 2'000'000 (two million) bytes per second. In order for it to be able to resist this mass of distracting stimulation, most of which comes up from your body as a result of brain signals stimulating hormonal responses previously being sent downwards, your PFC controls a stimulation-resistance-system.

By the way, this organic resistance system is the same system you use to suppress and repress your emotional responses. The main stopping valve of this system is the root-like Reticular Formation in your brain stem. The Reticular Formation is designed to control the level of electrical/emotional energy flooding up into your brain at any one time.

From your brain stem the Reticular Formation spreads upwards and outwards into the net-like Ascending Reticular Activation System (also known as the ARAS - this system makes us consciously aware of the world around us). Different parts of your Reticular system have the ability to reduce and filter electrical stimulation in different parts of your brain. For example, there is a layer of reticular material surrounding the Thalamus, the main sensory signal router sitting between your upper conscious brain and lower emotional brain, acting like the insulation you find on household wiring.

Without this built-in resistance system you would be unable to focus on anything other than a mass of sensory information. In the case of emotional disorders, however, the resistance system has been used so effectively it has led to a state of internal overcharging and to trapping the emotional charge in the body.

An emotional charge trapped in the body keeps the body on high alert and this leads to an internal battle for control of your 'Conscious Point of Focus' between your Prefrontal Cortex and two other internal attention management system; your:

Orientation Response and your
Emotional Alert System

When these two mechanisms are activated they repeatedly snatch control of your Conscious Point of Focus away from your PFC and it in turn repeatedly snatches control back through the process of deliberate 'distraction'. This produces a constant state of physical tension in the body and establishes a vicious war between how your PFC wants you to feel and how your body is trying to communicate to it what it actually feels.

When a person does not suffer with an emotional disorder their mental focus naturally comes to rest on whatever their senses are resting on at the time. There is no internal battle for control and no sense of tension.

Your Orientation Response and Your Emotional Alert System - Your Emergency Situation Managers

Your PFC is concerned with long-term strategic self-management. It works with such things as changing your self image; deciding what kinds of environment you would like to eventually live in; planning the route it will take to get there and putting in place the motivations you will need to keep yourself energised along the journey.

Your Orientation Response and your Emotional Alert System, in contrast, are emergency problem solvers designed to work with unexpected life events. One is an automatic process designed to search for and identify potential threats while the other is designed to galvanise the body into urgent life-saving action by responding to threats with the most powerful source of energy you have.

Is that a Spider? No, it is a Bit of Fluff

Our Orientation Response is the mechanism that drags our attention away suddenly from what we are currently doing to pay attention to something new we have just become vaguely aware of entering our environment.

Out of the corner of your eye you spot a small fuzzy blob on the floor and you look to see if it is a spider. It is a bit of fluff. You go to run a bath and spot something black against the white enamel. You cannot resist looking. It is an apple seed. How did that get in there? Who has been eating apples in the bath?

Your Orientation Response is partially pre-programmed by your perceptual bias. Your perceptual bias is your unconscious list of things you want to avoid and is decided on previous experience. So when you go into the bathroom you are now pre-programmed to check the bath for things that should not be there.

When you leave the bathroom you are now pre-programmed to find out how the apple seed got there.

The response is also designed to pay attention to the new, the fast moving, the tiny, the potentially itchy, the unknown; the large; that scraping sound you hear that sounds like it is in your house. The only way to satisfy this response is to consciously pay attention to the source of concern until you have fully looked at it, identified it as safe and then let it go. This completes the release cycle for this part of our conscious focus mechanism and you can then return to what you wanted to focus on earlier.

Until you pay attention to an unknown and unexplored stimulus for long enough, and in enough depth, to the point your Unconscious attention systems believe it to be safe, they will keep grabbing the attention of your conscious focus.

Admit it - you looked for that bit of fluff, I know you did.

If you have an obsession and you do not understand how obsessions work, and you lack confidence in working with such things to the point you cannot just put it to one side without it grabbing at your conscious focus against your will, it is the orientation mechanism that keeps causing this to happen. The other reason is because your body is on High Emotional Alert.

Your Emotional Alert System

A real-life event or an imagined event (imagined so effectively your Unconscious emotional system thinks it is real) triggers an emotional response. The emotional response travels up through the body towards the brain to meet up with the issue identified by the brain in order that your overall body and brain together take appropriate external action to deal with the alleged problem.

Trouble is when the emotional response reaches the brain your brain says 'not yet' and your PFC pushes the energetic response back down into your body. So the response stays in place, the body remains energised, waiting for the 'go' command from the brain. And it waits, but not for long. It reminds the brain by coming up through the body again, making the attempt to link up with the issue in the brain and again the brain says 'not yet'.

Your body remains in a state of continued emotional pre-release and the emotional response, now held in place for a prolonged period of time, starts to desperately seek release through a process known as projection and keeps pestering the brain to pay attention to it by any means available. Now it comes up for any stimulus that even slightly resembles the original issue. By now, unfortunately, the brain has forgotten what the original issue was and refuses to acknowledge the response needs to release at all.

'What, you again?'.

Your PFC refuses to allow the emotional response to leave the body declaring 'something is wrong with my emotional system' when the response keeps showing up..

Your Orientation Response is continually re-triggered by this because you have no idea what is causing the repeating imagery and your brain keeps being constantly re-stimulated by the emotional charge attempting to leave the body through the normal release process.

Want to Switch the Emotional Alert Driving Your Obsession Off?

In order to removal an obsession or any other emotional problem you have to switch off the emotional alert driving it. There is nothing you can do about your Orientation Response - but once it has taken a good look at your obsession and at the emotional response attached to it, and realises what is there is just 'fluff', it will stop demanding your Conscious Point of Focus be directed to it.

Your PFC is fighting the reality of how your emotional system works by creating belief systems that cause your lower brain parts to join in with resisting release. In order to stop the battle going on inside it must change its approach and agree to taking your Conscious Point of Focus directly into the emotional world it has spent so long fighting.

By systematically surrendering to the demands of its rival competitors for control of your conscious attention it will gradually release the emotional response behind the high alert emotional state and find itself returning to its rightful place as natural, relaxed controller of your conscious focus.
