Personal Growth - Failure Consciousness Versus Success Consciousness

After hearing a number of recommendations for the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, I downloaded a copy to listen to in the car. One of the first things the book says is to take it one chapter at a time, really absorb each one and integrate the ideas slowly, making them your own. Having to spend the next 2 hours in the car I initially scoffed at listening to just one chapter. The first profound statement hit me as the book unfolded in the first chapter. It said 'the goal of this book is to help you move from a failure consciousness to a success consciousness'. I did indeed stop the book after the first chapter and give it some thought, which quickly made me realize how much of my life I have spent with a failure consciousness.

A little over a month ago, I attended a seminar through work called 'PowerCamp'. PowerCamp is a program that helps people to find their own voice, their own power within, to strengthen their own lives in the workplace and at home. Before going to the seminar, I had put some ideas in place for what I needed to work on. These were primarily around overcoming fears - not only fears that kept me from moving forward in many areas of my life, but I also what I called my 'fear of discovery' - that someone would uncover at some point that I had no idea what I was doing. I needed to overcome the thoughts that what I accomplished on a day to day basis was not worthy of recognition.

During the seminar while discussing with one of the coaches what I was hoping to accomplish with my experience at PowerCamp, she stopped me in the middle to make a point. I had been talking about how I had swum competitively most of my young life, from 5 years old to 18 years old in various swim clubs as well as in high school. She very astutely pointed out that had been wired in my formative years to measure my success by swim times, placement in races, and the opinions of coaches and parents always telling me to work harder - good was not good enough. Wired so much for so many years that I still look for similar validation today. However there are no times or race placements to validate what I do with my life outside of swimming. I realized that I viewed so many things I did as sub-par or failures, because I was trying to measure against something that did not exist anymore. This revelation was the beginning of freeing those thoughts of failure and underachievement.

Now looking back on life, I see so many more successes than failures. It has taken time to turn these views around and it is a daily process. Add the profound statement this morning of failure consciousness and success consciousness, I am also seeing my successes so much clearer. When I graduated high school in 1980, I chose not to go to college. I went to work in a few odd jobs, and ultimate got a great entry level job in computers that over the next 25 years enabled me to build a very successful career in the Information Technology industry. Throughout that career, I always felt less competent and less talented than those that had college degrees, yet I knew I was running circles around most of them at work.

That thought of failing to acquire a college degree kept me minimizing the success in my career for over 25 years. Now looking back, I see nothing but success. The fact that I was able to, on a C-average high school education, establish a long and well respected career in the computer industry, manage and lead large teams of people, and hold over 5 completely different and challenging positions, shows me that I have had huge success - and in no way was it a failure. The lesson was a long time coming, but now that it is positive instead of negative, I am embracing the feeling of that success.

About 15 years ago, I made a significant career change. I moved from being an independent computer programmer to being an instructor for a big time software company. When I decided to make such a big leap, I knew it was life changing and I had the confidence that I could make the change. But because of the insecurities around my missing degree, fear of failing motivated me for years to work hard and be very successful at the company. If I had gone into such a big career change with a success consciousness instead of failure consciousness, I may have had even more success. No regrets, but the profound statement of today has made me realize that having a success consciousness will only bring that success to you in greater amounts, because you believe you will be successful and that failure is not an option - or even a word that should enter your mind.

I now embark on another new challenge, altering my career path by becoming an entrepreneur and starting my own business. Instead of going in, hoping that I do not fail, I have gone in knowing that I will be successful. I feel it, sense it, and own the feeling of success and it is mine for the taking. Take it upon yourself to ask - do you operate under a failure consciousness or a success consciousness, and what do you need to do to move to the success side of that question?

Conscious Business - The 4 Components of Conscious Business Success

I often get asked by colleagues and clients, "What's it take to really succeed in business during times like this?" First, I tell them that "times like this" don't have to be their reality. In fact "times like this" are the "best of times" for many entrepreneurs who take a serious (and conscious) approach to their business, and refuse to let the "real world" stop them in their tracks.

Success also requires you to have COURAGE - because you've got to be ready to answer some of the tough questions that'll guide you to your highest and best good as a conscious entrepreneur. And, I have to believe that if you're reading this article, you have the courage it takes to do just that. Your courage to keep going, (and not quit on your dream) is what will keep you growing in service to others, to your bottom-line, and to the greater good of all!

So let's take a look at the 4 Components of Conscious Business, which will cause you to ask yourself some of those courageous questions. Use these four components regularly (as a gauge) to see whether or not you are on the right track. And, be ready to make the necessary changes that'll support you in building your successful, prosperous, and conscious business.

Component #1:

A Conscious Business Makes Money Is your business making money? Is it making enough money to fully support your soul's purpose in the world? The truth is, you are meant to attract A LOT of money; not for the purpose of acquiring material possessions (and being able to keep up with the Jones'); rather, you're meant to receive a lot of money so you can do what you were created to do on this Earth. Whether you make $50,000, $500,000 or $5,000,000 per year, now is a good time to take a good look at the bottom-line of your business. And, if you discover your business isn't built on a model that makes a lot of money, have the courage to ask for help to identify the ways in which you can build a profitable, purposeful business.

Component #2:

A Conscious Business Makes a Difference. Does your business truly make a difference to others? Can you feel the difference you're making? When you're operating as a conscious business owner, it's not just about the money; it's about being of service and making a difference in the lives of others. For some entrepreneurs to connect with the difference they're making, they need to look a few layers deep. For instance if you're not in a business that allows you to connect with the difference you make, take a look deeper to see how those clients and customers you serve are making a difference in the world. Once you're able to connect with the difference you make (even if it's a few layers deep), you'll have more motivation and inspiration to grow your conscious business, because you'll know the "ripple effect" your work has on the world.

Component #3:

A Conscious Business Calls You To Be Fully Who You Are Does your business allow you to be ALL of who you are? Are you able to be fully expressed in your business without feeling like you have to hide parts of yourself? Being WHO YOU ARE is the strongest asset you can have as a business owner. Why? Because nobody can be you! Nobody can duplicate your heart and soul! And nobody can exude you... other than you! So, this also means that nobody can compete with you. How sweet is that? You get to design your business in a way that lets you be fully you, AND at the same time you naturally eliminate anyone or anything that can be perceived as "competition." There's only one you, so capitalize on YOU in your business. Not only will you feel great, but you'll also become a magnet that attracts only those customers and clients who are a perfect fit for you.

Component #4:

A Conscious Entrepreneur Trusts In Their Divine Plan Do you believe in a higher, Divine plan? How much trust do you have in that larger plan for your business and your life? This fourth component is vitally important to embrace fully as a conscious entrepreneur; because this is the component that turns "times like this" into the "best of times." This is where you rise above the "reality" of the physical world to connect with the perfect plan that is unfolding for you in each and every moment. Only when you operate your business based on this higher approach will you begin to turn struggle into success, fear into faith, lack into abundance and challenge into triumph.

Now that you've learned more about these four components, I encourage you to spend some time truly pondering the questions posed here. Tap into your courage as you ask these questions, discover the answers and take your next steps. The reward will be a business that is filled with purpose, passion and profit!

Making Conscious Choices - Three Keys To Your Success in Life and Relationships

Our life, relationships, and our planet would work so much better if all choices were conscious.

What does it mean to be 'Conscious?'

To illustrate, consider these three levels of consciousness:

1. Unconscious (awake but unaware)

This is when you forget where you put your keys, leave the headlights on and are surprised by a dead battery, drive past your freeway exit, etc. You're simply not paying attention.

If life is like an iceberg, when we're unconscious we crash and sink before we see it.

2. Semi-conscious (aware of what's in front of you)

This is when you're sure you know what's what. We believe that our stories (beliefs, interpretations, etc) and sensory perceptions (see, hear, feel, etc) are true and correct.

If life is like an iceberg, when we're semi-conscious we're aware of the iceberg and truly believe we know how to avoid it, then crash and sink because it's larger than we thought.

3. Conscious (aware of the big picture)

This is when we humbly understand that 'you don't know what you don't know,' and realize that there may be more to a situation than we can see or understand at the time. We are aware of our goal and do our best to learn more about the situation and examine our options to make the best possible choice.

If life is like an iceberg, when we're conscious we realize that we need to know more about what's under the surface before making our choices about how to proceed.

Three Keys to Making Conscious Choices

Key # 1: Be clear about who you are and what you want

What's the purpose of your life? What is your Vision for your life, work, and relationships? What are your requirements, needs, and wants in any situation?

Strive to lower the waterline on the iceberg that is your Self to achieve the clarity you need to be motivated and empowered.

Key # 2: Stay focused on what's important to you- don't settle for less

Most people 'lead lives of quiet desperation.' They want to be happy, but don't know how and don't think it's possible. However, the Law of Attraction can work for you or against you, and if you expect less, you'll get less.

Go after what you really want in your life and assume you can find the choices needed to be successful if you're looking for them.

Key #3: Be supportable- with enough help you can do anything!

We're human, and no-one is successful alone. We need to be conscious of our support needs and proactively seek to get them met.

Continually ask yourself what help you need and who can help you.

Wishing you a healthy, happy, conscious life.

Conscious Awareness Principles for Success - An Explanation How the Law of Attraction Works for You

Foundation

Achievement as we know it is about the relationship between you and thought of having more. The concept of Conscious Awareness Principles for Success is also about relationship, this time however it is about you with your own relationship with yourself, your core belief system. When you are aware of your inner self you can tap into and unleash the power within and seize that power to live your life by design, not a life that has been preset to default that was written by someone else. Conscious Awareness Principles for Success is a D.I.Y., do-it-yourself style of coaching for investing in yourself so you can reach and celebrate your own freedom.

Set The Scene

To move forward it's imperative to set the scene with a positive and deep foundation. You can conquer today's challenges and take complete control of your life and destiny.

We begin with exploring who you are and what you believe your core belief system stands for. This exploration will help you to understand yourself better and to identify those core beliefs I mentioned before. Once more your conscious awareness is all about you, you set your own rules, your own standards and your own action plan. The conscious awareness principles come into play only when you are 100% certain you are ready for change, for a breakthrough and ready to move forward. Similar as with regular coaching you as the client set the agenda. However, the one and only condition to using the Conscious Awareness Principles for Success is that the system is non-negotiable. So the warning is the Conscious Awareness Principles for Success can seriously change your lifestyle, health levels and wealth.

Knowing Success

Once you understand what your current lifestyle means to you, you'll be ready to set the wheels in motion for change to gain the success you desire and deserve. You'll experience a shifting of values, for the better I might add, and after the void a new and fresh energy and vitality will flow through you veins. You PMA positive mental attitude to life will be re-inforced and fully charged to move forward. Life will take on a new meaning with amazing results, stunning moments and very special inner power to continue to move forward.

Living Life on Your Terms, by Your Design

The system emotionally involved to Conscious Awareness Principles for Success is all encompassing. It's about creating much more than who you are now and what you have today. Life does take on a different meaning. If you want to live that life today this is what you need to do to grow.

Richness of success comes from within, awareness is what gives you the results you want, but it is your consciousness that allows you to tap into your core self and produce high levels of success in all areas of your life. I've said it before and I'll say it again mastery of your inner core will give you back your self-esteem, confidence and peace of mind, a laser sharp focus and a future that is unquestionably bright.

Nothing Happens Overnight

The Secrets to Your Conscious Success in Every Aspect of Your Life

You can be the top 2% of the world's population to live in full-blown positive, abundant, gratifying love and success on every level, by learning the keys to conscious living.

I have studied, listened and participated in great prosperity, relationship, abundance classes and workshops for over 20 years and I have not received the key to getting there on a core level, until now. This major step, I have been missing in all of my education, is taught by Dr. E. Amidi. If I had not read this book, I do not know where else, I would have learned this unequivocal information. I read, "The Secret" every day, so I can reinforce the positive and affirmations for my abundance in love, monetary success, my work and all relationships. In every aspect of our lives, these principles must, be practiced, every day. Sometimes this must apply to every moment.

The difference between the sub-conscious and conscious, mind is colossal, unless you are in a denial, for which, I believe 98% of people are in our society. Why do you think the wealth distribution is so out of proportion? Why are there so many divorces? There is enough money to go around on our planet for everyone to have 10 million dollars each. Therefore, what is wrong and why? It is really, simple. The top 2% of the population are the only few that have the consciousness and awareness to believe they deserve, and are open to receive such abundance. This is the difference between poverty and the wealthy. If you have noticed or paid attention to one of the wealthiest families in our nation, Warren Buffet, lives in integrity and his reputation for the most part is unreachable. He has to have all the values and consciousness to be as successful and wealthy as he is. We are not all blessed with having parents or family that had businesses and success to learn from, as he did in his youth. I am sure he learned from an early age to have the consciousness of achievement and accomplishment on a sub-conscious infrastructure.

It is a choice that every one of us can make, to be conscious, from a sub-conscious level. This will free you to be all you can be, in everything you want to achieve. I cannot write enough about, how important this is, to be aware, of your emotions on the sub-conscious level. The primordial level that most of the population are driven from, can, and will change by being aware of it and making the extra effort to change your thinking from that emotional layer.

Being aware, of the tiers of our thinking process, subconscious (emotions), conscious and higher self, the sky is the limit, of our success in all areas of our lives. When you understand how they connect to one another, you can be at peace knowing that you can change your thinking from a foundational, base level.

Thank you for reading my article, as I have devoted my passion and time to assist and guide anyone I can in this freedom of consciousness.
