How to Use the Power of Your Mind to Live Life by Design

Getting Rich Versus Living Rich

Recently, a successful businessman told an audience how he had made millions of dollars, bought a luxury home and luxury cars and had everything that showed he was successful. Yet he was miserable. He had learned to control the process by which he attained wealth, but he had not learned to live life by design.

The businessman went on to tell the story of how he began to focus on what he really wanted. Not what other people said he should want, but what he actually wanted his life to be like. He had used the power of his mind to make money; now he was going to use the power of his mind in a different way.

In his journal he wrote details of what kind of house he wanted to live in, details of what kind of work he wanted to do, and details of what he did for enjoyment. Then he closed his journal, and forgot about what he wrote.

Less than half a year later, the businessman moved his family to a new home far from where he had lived his whole life. He worked fewer hours than before, yet made more money. He not only enjoyed his free time, his work was also fun. One day he came across his old journal and opened it. He was astonished to see that the life he described in his journal matched in detail the life he was now living. That is why he was driven to tell an audience not about business techniques, but about how we can use the power of our minds to design the life we want.

Life By Design or Life as a Feather

In the movie, "Forrest Gump," in the opening sequence we see a feather wafting in the air, wandering from place to place and finally landing wherever the wind carries it. Forrest Gump's question was, "Do we control our destiny, or does it just happen?" Do we just go along with whatever life brings us or do we decide the course of our own lives? For Forrest Gump, it could be both. Floating through life like a feather may be the easy way, but it could lead to unwanted destinations. Living life by design, on the other hand, means using the power of the mind to cause life to bring us what we want.

Countless stories have been told of people using their minds to achieve amazing feats: Houdini gained amazing control over his muscles and breathing to become the illusionist and escape artist that he became. Uri Zeller is well-known for his ability to move things telekinetically or change their physical structure by using his mind. The most successful athletes, artists, writers, business men, and professionals of every kind, attribute their success to tapping the power of the mind.

Where men and women have achieved feats and success like those mentioned, they have tapped their mind power to control some part of their being. Ironically when it comes to designing your life, you must learn to let go of control and focus only on what it is that you want.

The Ego and the Conscious Mind

The ego is defined as "the self." A large ego is one that seeks a lot of attention, and the thoughts are directed mainly toward self-satisfaction. A small ego is one that seeks less attention, and self-satisfaction is not a big priority. The size of your ego is not a significant factor in using the power of your mind. What is significant is how much you allow your ego to influence your thinking.

Whether large or small, the ego seeks control of the process of achievement. That process begins in thought. And thought is the function of the conscious mind. It is in the conscious mind that we formulate goals and design plans to achieve them. In using the conscious mind to control the process of achievement, the conscious mind satisfies the ego. Great achievers such as Houdini have tapped the power of their conscious minds to attain remarkable control over themselves.

Immense as the potential power of the conscious mind is, the power of the subconscious mind is infinitely greater. The subconscious mind is connected to the life force that keeps your lungs breathing and your heart beating whether you are awake or asleep. Active thought does not occur in the subconscious mind. Nor does logical reasoning, nor planning, nor any of those functions associated with the conscious mind. However, the subconscious mind does find solutions to problems.

Let Go of the Ego - Use the Power of the Subconscious Mind to Design Your Life

One of the greatest challenges in designing your life is removing yourself from the process. We are conditioned from a young age to want to control all aspects of our lives. We determine our goals and we plan how to achieve them. We use the power of our conscious minds, but we neglect the greater power of our subconscious minds.

People who have attracted into their lives not only material success but also the joy of living the exact life they dream of have learned to allow their subconscious minds to solve problems. They use their conscious minds to create visions and goals. Then they allow the subconscious mind to go about manifesting those visions and goals.

Using the power of the mind to manifest what you want in life is simple to explain, however may be difficult to accomplish because we are not used to relinquishing control. Design your life by envisioning, in as much detail as possible, everything that you want. What is your house like? What do you do in the morning and in the afternoon. How do you spend your evenings? What material things do you own?

Create the ideal life in your mind, then let go of the need to attain it. Keep your ideal life in the front of your mind as much as possible, but resist the need to control the process by which it is achieved. Allow the subconscious mind, with its infinite resources, to do its job of bringing your vision into reality. To live life by design means to consciously conceive of everything you want to do and have, then using the power of the subconscious mind to make it all happen.

Go beyond the superficial. Really learn how to use the power of your mind at the Friendly Universe. Live life by design.

How to Consciously Choose the Life of Your Dreams

Everything in life is a choice and your spiritual growth depends entirely on the choices you make and the spirituality information that you immerse yourself in. The key to creating the life of your dreams is to begin the process of understanding how important it is to be conscious and aware of the choices you are making and whether those choices are serving you or not.

Relativity tells us that you can't know something as an experience until you first come to know its opposite. That is the purpose of the theory of relativity and all physical life.

That is why we have this other beautiful, magnificent and glorious ability in our lives called choice. We get to choose whatever it is that we desire. We can say "the devil made me do it" all we want, but the ultimate reality is that we make a choice about every decision we make in our lives.

Now comes the important question. Are you making your choices consciously or unconsciously? Really think about that one. Remember we are thinking up the life of your dreams here.

Are you thinking consciously or unconsciously? Think about that, consciously.

Right now you are reading this article. You are fully in the present moment. Your mind is engaged. Your brain is processing the data. You are in a conscious endeavor to improve your life. Right now you are thinking consciously, but what happens when you stop reading this article? Are you going to go over and turn on the idiot box and watch the next generation of a "reality show?" Are you going to mindlessly subject yourself to the commercials that tell you to go out and buy the next best version of the useless material possessions that already fill your cupboards and closets and your life?

Is that what you call conscious living? Does that serve you? I'm not making judgments here; I am just making observations. It is entirely your choice as to what you fill your days and nights with. I just want you think about what you are thinking about because that is the only way that you can begin to think consciously.

If we are saying that life is a process, and we are, then we want to be awake and aware of that process. You can only do that if you are conscious that life is a process and then consciously aware about how the process works.

That's why you are reading this article. To understand the true nature of how things work. This is a conscious endeavor, which takes some concerted effort, but the rewards and riches that await you are worth the undertaking.

We are not thinking about short-term gratification. We are going for the long haul, the big picture, the effortless life that awaits us when we wake up to this clarion call to consciously view life as a process.

Telling ourselves that "the devil made me do it" isn't going to cut it anymore. You can only use that excuse when you are living unconsciously. Remember we are changing the way we are thinking and thinking different thoughts. Thank you Albert Einstein for telling us that you can't change your current situation by thinking the same thoughts that got you there. You must change the way you are thinking and think different thoughts.

Start the process of consciously being aware of your current situation and the begin to consciously make choices that open up different avenues of thought that have the potential to create the life of your grandest dreams and aspirations.

Living Shamanism - The Art of the Everyday Journey of Living Your Destiny

There's a lyric to the song, "Circle of Life", made popular by Elton John and in the Movie "The Lion King" that says: "You will find your place on the path unwinding..." This phrase and this song has become a favorite reflection of my life work as shaman guide and teacher in the art of finding and living your destiny.

What I'd like to offer you here is simply this: Your life is the shaman journey; and the conscious living/honoring of your life is how your find your way and live your destiny - It's on the path unwinding that healing, insight, and direction informs your being and brings you to your true nature and wisdom way.

Even though I occasionally do still enter into a formal shamanic journey of the upper, middle, and underworlds to seek direction and clarity - and even though I still do occasionally still teach the traditional method of inner seeing to my students and clients (aka as learned through Michael Harner over 25 years ago) -- I've come to understand and fully see that life itself is "the shaman journey".

When we learn the art of following and understanding the symbolic language of soul (what I've come to call the SoulArts Process of Awakening), everyday life becomes a living portal on the shamanic journey and path unwinding!

When our daily living becomes itself a meditation -- when daily situations and incidences are respected and regarded as the shaman journey itself -- all of life opens up; healing and synchronicity become common place; direction unfolds organically; there is no need to "journey for answers or to seek insight": Rather, you enter into the artistry of living in the shaman journey itself as you go about your day. Life and living becomes multi-dimensional and freely inspired.

To me, and in my life work as a spiritual minister/healer and guide, this is where the "rubber meets the road": In living the shaman journey every day in every day situations and the attention we give them.

I love the traditional shaman approach and respect the path of soul retrieval and all modalities of shamanism. But like other "religions", I feel that true Shamanism is becoming too encapsulated in method; too tied to technique; missing the real life and truth and intelligence behind such methods, techniques and dogmas.

In my SoulArts spiritual apprenticeships and retreats, I teach daily living shamanism: One that lets go of what I call "needy greedy" constriction to heal, answer, grasp at solutions, or empower ego with allies...and instead simply falls in love with your own life's genius and evolution as the shamanic journey of a lifetime itself!

When we fall in love with the Mystery, and learn the art of attending in everyday life to our own uniquely evolving path as it unwinds, we very naturally and organically discover the shaman within; and we very easily then step into expressing and living our true destiny.

When we live our every day life as a shamanic journey, seeing and attending to the language of soul as we go about the day, we very simply find that we are led to healing insight and direction, clarity of perception, "right service to others", and awake to our unique genius and wisdom way. What I called in my second book: The Art of Living Your Destiny", is always right here, now, on the path unwinding, as we live it, see it, honor it.

How to Live Consciously

In a busy world, it is very easy to live life without ever taking time to think about why you are doing what you are doing. When we are conscious of our choices, we can improve our attitudes, save time, and get more enjoyment out of life. In general, to live consciously is to disarm those attitudes and behaviors that sabotage life. It is to consider all the outcomes before making decisions so that those choices won't lead to situations you will live to regret.

You've heard someone say "I'm my own worst enemy." Maybe you've even said those words yourself. By indulging in behaviors and attitudes that sabotage our lives we truly can be our own worst enemies. Some examples of self-destroying behaviors we sometimes carry out include overeating, being a bully, being hard to get along with, or indulging in drugs and alcohol. Attitudes that sabotage our lives include worry, unforgiveness, anger, and low self esteem.

One important aspect of living consciously is to focus on the positive instead of the negative. Do you imagine the worst possible outcome when you are faced with a new challenge? Or do you hope for the best, or at least figure that it can't turn out all that bad? Do you blame others for all your problems, or do you believe that by making good decisions you can reverse the harm that has been done by poor decisions of the past?

Strangely, it has been found that when one makes the effort to live consciously, they are simply opening their eyes and minds up to common sense they have known all along. For instance, consider how tough it is to stand up to peer pressure. Many bad habits, like smoking, drug abuse, and even indulging in frequent unfulfilling relationships are learned from a peer group. These peers, in turn, are simply doing the things the culture says are needful for fun and happiness. What's wrong with this picture? No one is thinking! No one is taking the time to consciously weigh out the pros and cons of their behavior choices.

When we live without thinking, we are in effect living our lives by default. We are giving up our right to make our own choices. Just like a disinterested citizen, we are forfeiting our right to vote! Living consciously is deciding to make use of that wonderful privilege we have to choose for ourselves. It also frees us to have close relationships with others as we value their worth and right to a choice as well.

One aspect of living consciously is to become aware of the power in our words. The things we say to others can hurt them terribly, or encourage them to win against terrible odds. In the same way, we have a running dialog going on in our own heads. If we speak the right things to ourselves, we, too, can overcome great odds. If we speak the wrong things, we can squelch any chance we have for success or happiness.

Don't rush through life thinking like everyone else tells you to think. Don't base your decisions on the latest fad or on how your favorite movie star lives. Take the time to think for yourself and live consciously.

Live Consciously by Deconstructing Time

In a world that demands more from us with each passing day, we have come to rely on time more than ever before. Our lives are scheduled down to the minute. You know that it takes you exactly thirteen minutes to get from your driveway to your parking spot at work if you leave at exactly 7:44. A minute sooner, or later, and you will have to deal with school buses at some point. It is crazy. However, it does not have to be that way.

Time is not real; it is nothing more than a measurement created by man that enslaves us to a schedule over which we have no control. Time is a construct that removes our ability to live consciously and revel in the world around us, but what would happen if that construct were removed.

The Past and Future Are Mind Tricks

Take a minute (there is that time thing again) to think about what the past and future really are. The past is simply a memory accessed in the now. Future events are also nothing more than mind tricks. Any thoughts you have of the future can only take place in the now. Time is nothing more than a measure created to serve as a reference point for recalling events.

An unfortunate by-product of that measure has been our need to live by the clock instead of choosing to live consciously and receive the most stimulation from every moment. Living consciously does not mean becoming an unreliable, reckless menace, but it does mean that you can derive ultimate joy and freedom by escaping the clock in your head and tuning into the mind-consciousness connection.

Only A Point of Reference

Connecting with your consciousness means breaking the belief that time is real. Our brains are programmed to rely on time since birth. We have feeding times, school times, work times, and all sorts of other times that we have to schedule. Our lives seemingly depend on time. By making time a real and physical entity, we are forced to abide by its rules and often lose the ability to enjoy each moment to its fullest. Time is not a line drawn in the sand; it is not a building, or a person. It is simply a measure we use as a point of reference. Time is made up of constantly changing events in the now. Freeing yourself, and giving way to your consciousness allows you to experience each moment in its truest form.

The Only Moment You Have Is Now

Getting in touch with your consciousness is dependent on your ability to remove your mind from the physical world. Before you can live consciously you must dispel the notion that the physical world is 'real' and realize that time is nothing more than an illusion our minds have been trained to create.

Once you have pushed aside the physical 'realities' and allow a connection with your conscious self, you will come to realize that only the now exists. Past memories and future hopes are nothing more than illusions created within the constructs of time. Moving past those constructs allows you relish the moment you are in for what it truly is.

The only chance you have to make changes, the only moment that exists, is NOW. Once you have tapped into the mind-consciousness connection you will be able to stop plotting future moves, and realize the only chance to set yourself free is the only moment there is, NOW.

Collective Consciousness Defines Rules Of Reality

Everyone has the capacity, at some level, to shape reality. This capacity is dormant in most people, who are known as sleepers, whereas magicians are said to be awakened. Because they're awakened, magicians can consciously effect changes to reality via willpower, beliefs, and specific magical techniques.

What we know as "Reality" is created by thought and consciousness at all levels of Universal Life from The Source, The First Cause, God to the collective consciousness of created beings. Everyday reality is governed by commonsense rules derived from the collective beliefs of humans which is called the Consensus. The effects of physical laws in the world that we live in are not fixed by they shift according to the state of collective consciousness. Physical reality is an illusion, although a very persistent one.

Magic is simply the ability of a magician or will-worker to impose his will onto reality. Magicians are able to do this because they realize the physical world is a lie. A magician's power, or level of awakening and understanding the depths of the Lie, is called Gnosis. The paradigm is the understanding a Magician has over particular facets of reality, which governs his ability to affect those aspects. The better the paradigm, the more capable the magician is in affecting reality.

A magician's paradigm differs substantially from the Consensus. When a magician performs an act of magic that does not seriously violate the commonsense version of reality, it is called coincidental magic or synchronicity which can be accepted by sleepers as luck or pure coincidence. Magic that deviates wildly from consensus is called blatant magic because sleepers cannot accept it and therefore condemn it to be evil and unnatural.

In ancient times, civilization existed in a paradigm where magic and the supernatural was very much part of ordinary reality. The workings of magic and supernatural phenomena were a lot more in effect during that time. It was the onset of early science and technology that shifted collective consciousness from a magical to a more limited one.

As the masses' beliefs shifted, the Consensus changed and magicians began to lose their their powers and as their metaphysical influence waned. It was consensus reality that brought the lower rules of physics into play, but it was according to the purpose of the divine so that we can learn certain spiritual lessons from interacting with one another in an environment with more limits imposed. Many things that did existed in the past paradigm but which did not fit into this new paradigm was discarded and refuted to be myths.

The old enemy of religion and philosophy is science. But in fact, science will serve up the confirmation of higher reality and science will be the one to bring this to the world. Religion has tried to do it for 2000 years and has failed miserably. Once it is accepted and understood by scientists, the breakthroughs will be astronomical.

Physical reality is governed by collective consciousness therefore, transcending physical laws is not as easy as it seems in the face of consensus reality. Since the majority of people do not believe such things are possible yet, it is much more difficult to manifest those abilities in present time. But as collective consciousness changes over time, humans will be able to manifest more and more superhuman abilities starting with the more readily acceptable to the more outrageous kind.

The range of mind powers arranged in such a spectrum begins from intuition, manifestation, luck and moves on to psychic influence, telepathy and moves on to time manipulation, telekinesis, transfiguration, invincibility, levitation, teleportation and so on. Start by developing abilities that are more readily acceptable by consensus reality because they are more subtle ones. You will be more successful at them. Then again, you can be equally successful at anything if you can do it apart from the consensus.

Collective consciousness does not only define the rules of physical reality but it also defines every other plane of reality, except the personal dream plane which is created by individual consciousness. The difference between dream and reality is that a dream is what you are personally dreaming, but reality is what everyone is collectively dreaming. You have more freedom to manipulate your dream world than the collective dream world. Since reality is grounded by awareness, you are able to change reality by affecting it in areas where the consensus is unaware of, or by changing the awareness of people.

The reason why angelic powers want to accelerate the conscious evolution of humans is so that when collective consciousness is shifted to a higher dimension, they are able to manifest their powers on earth with greater range and effect. That is when the heavens are brought to the earth and they can fully rule the physical world as gods. The faster consensus reality can be shifted to the next level, the faster the rules that govern physical reality can be transcended and thus merging third density with higher densities of reality. That is when the planes of hyperdimensional beings are merged with ours thereby allowing them to fully exist in and manipulate our world.

This is both a good or bad thing depending on perspective. It is good when you realize that the merger of our planes also gives us the ability to go into their dimension and fight them in their territory. They can come here but we can go there. This levels the playing field and removes the advantage that they have from being able to attack from a higher dimension into a lower one.

To do magic, you have to defy consensus reality or transform it. You have to break the rules and transcend the system. Whatever the majority of people is doing, under any given circumstance, if you do the exact opposite, you will probably never make another mistake as long as you live. When you know that the rules of reality are defined by collective consciousness, you know that there are truly no limits. Know when to ride the flow of collective consciousness when it is to your advantage, and when to go against it. You can also bypass consensus reality in areas where the freewill of collective consciousness is not anchored by awareness.

We can also consciously influence the collective. We can insert thoughts, ideas, beliefs, and set them adrift on its currents. They will circulate among the masses of humanity, occasionally surfacing in an individual's thoughts, often influencing the behavior, perceptions, and beliefs of the unawakened on a profound yet unspoken level.

Enoch Tan aims to help people achieve greater awareness in living and experiencing life. To evolve human consciousness to higher levels. To change lives and create possibility. To revolutionize the way we understand the mind and reality. Because that is what governs every area of life and destiny. Levels of Consciousness

Quote: "The mind works like a computer. It does what you train it to do. Install an original program of positive thoughts with an attitude representing the new you."

Our powerful mind operates like a machine. You perceive the world on the outside from the thoughts stored within your inner being. When you walk around in a dream like state of mind, illusions become a reality like closing your eyes and shutting the blinds. It is your responsibility to reprogram negative thoughts. To do this, start fresh and forgot about everything you were taught.

The mind is a terrible tool to waste. Focus on the different types of thoughts you create. We fail to realize our different states of consciousness affects the way we perceive the world. You can create a world of opportunity or live in a world of turmoil. How does the mind operate? It remembers and stores all experiences in the past from the ones you liked as well as the ones you hated. The mind has a systematic way of thinking. Learn the lessons, break the cycles or keep circling around sleep walking in past memories. Illusions pollute the mind to escape all forms of reality. We internalized problems from our past and learned to view the world subjectively. The majority of our judging and thinking stems from living life unconsciously. Do you know what is happening? The mind is in a dream like state as if we are sleep walking. Release these negative patterns of thoughts you battle with everyday. Wake up to who you really are and stop being afraid. The more you hold back, the more you delay. Consciousness is a state of awakening to a new sense of reality. Embrace life with more vitality and see the world with infinite possibilities. You cannot play tricks on such a powerful mind.

The mind creates thoughts with feelings attached. Whatever thoughts you conceive, positive or negative is exactly what you will attract. It is just as simple as that. Think about it for a second. You judge your relationships in rankings between good or bad. Are you reacting to the same hurt experienced from your past? Try not to over-react. Let go of the triggers within the subconscious mind, accept your feelings and allow them to pass. Learn to reprogram the way you think. It is all about being able to perceive things differently. You have nothing to be ashamed of if your thoughts are not in a good place. Keep thinking positive, believe in yourself and learn to have faith. The more you practice positive thinking, keep going and start creating. If you choose not to change the way you react to things, the subconscious mind will have no other choice but to cling to the same limited thinking. For you to reprogram the mind takes effort and determination. The mind must trust the heart and follow the gift of intuition. Conscious living requires enormous amounts of courage, inner strength and self-discipline. Break down these walls of defenses and accept God's love and blessings. Be prepared to face your realities and deal with past hurts. Get into the face of hidden fears first and bring your negative thoughts to surface. Change your perceptions or remain stuck in an illusionary world of suffering. Be realistic and accept that you are on a journey towards inner healing. It is okay if you fail. Get back up, breathe in and exhale. Stop accepting thoughts that binds you to limited thinking. Be free and independent to making realistic and conscious decisions. Next, we travel on down the road called Veils of Illusions.
